“Fantastic little house!”
Reviewed 17 April 2014 for a stay in April 2014

From the first contact with the owner, until we locked the door (sadly) behind us as we left, renting this property was a pleasure. This was a spring break trip for me and my son and my best friend and her son. Because of changing school schedules due to the crazy winter weather, we had to change our date of arrival twice. Susan, the owner, was very accommodating. The property was exactly as advertised. We were met upon arrival by the property manager, Rick. He was very kind and took us through the house showing us where everything was and how things worked. He also offered some advice on restaurants and things to do in the area. The house is not new, but it is clean and bright. The location is excellent. It has a great yard and the trees and bushes on three sides gives a sense of privacy. As an added bonus, several things like soap, paper towels, and bathroom tissue are provided. The house has Wi-Fi which was a must for us since we were travelling with teenage boys and very nice flat screen TVs with cable and movie channels. The screened in porch is the best part of the house. What a great way to start and end the day!! I could go on and on about what a great property this is. Instead, I'll say - I will stay here again. If you are looking for a great house at a great price, this is the spot for you!!

“Great dog friendly house on a dog friendly beach”

We had a wonderful extended weekend at the house. It was perfect for what we wanted which was a dog friendly beach house where we could take our lab on his first beach trip. Beach access right infront of the house was under construction but we were still able to use it if needed (just had to jump off the last step) and there was one a little further down which was open and safer.

“Relaxation, with puppies, sand and tornados.”

We stayed at Pelican's Landing the end of November, temps where unseasonably cold, tornado warnings, rain and wind. My husband and I had a fabulous time. The owner was very nice and helpful while planning our stay. The fact that we could take our dogs with us sold us on the place immediately. We always wanted to show our furry kids the beach, sand and waves. The cottage, as advertised, was cozy and clean, a great location. Beach access directly across the street. Centrally located between Topsail Beach and Surf City. A Small back yard with a great tree, basic furnishings and a kitchen I could feel at home in. Wi-Fi and Movie Channels were a plus due to the storms. Most liked the simplicity and comfortable feel of the place, the property manager was very nice and helpful as well. Not A big realtor seemed to be available at all times.
Some great surf shops and tourist shops. The Bumble Bee, on the island And Mia's just on the other side of the bridge were favorites for sweets and great coffee. Fishing piers in Topsail and Surf City only a dollar and worth the view. The swing bridge on 50 to get on the island was fascination, goes every hour and there is a great park where you can view it in motion.
The road in front of the cottage, is the main road of the island and cars travel faster then I would have liked, fortunately the cottage does sit back a bit. I cant imagine how busy it may get in peak seasons.
The dogs loved the beach and were wiped out from running in the water and playing in the sand. It was a real joy to be able to include them in our vacation. We look forward to going Back.

“Great place to stay - Cozy and Comfortable”

We thoroughly enjoyed our 1 week stay at Seagull's Landing. The cottage is very well equipped with all the kitchen appliances and a very convenient over/under washer-dryer. It is ideally located between the towns of Surf City and Topsail Beach. The cottage is very "coastal" and decorated in a very attractive and comfortable way. Beautiful area - be sure to visit the Topsail Missile Museum - very interesting and they have a wonderful seashell
collection !!

“All of the basics in a clean & well-kept place with a great location”
Reviewed 7 October 2013 for a stay in September 2013

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Seagulls Landing. All of the basics that we needed were provided and at a reasonable cost. We found the home to be very clean & well-kept. It felt like a home away from home. The location is perfect (right across from the beach access)! The screened-in porch and outdoor shower are a great convenience with children & dogs. Having a washer & dryer was a nice touch as well. We found the owner and property manager to be gracious hosts. We hope to return soon!
