We loved the two nights we spent at this campground. Yes there is train noise but t just adds to the experience....lonely freight trains in the night...etc. The river is a source of endless entertainment and we are so glad we secured a site on it. Ducks, kids tubing beautiful sounds...what a delight. The one negative was the way I was treated during check in. There were six staffers milling around behind the check in desk. When I said excuse me one of them said..."you will have to wait....you can see we are busy" Actually, no I could not figure out what it was that took six people to take care of and then when they finally did address me the ended conversation with "do you want garbage bags?" Apparently this KOA will give you two garbage bags if you want them (don't ask me I did not institute the policy). I must have seemed confused, having plenty of my own trash bags so then she said "you know, bags. for trash" I said ok...do you charge for them and she was like of course not. Still don't really understand this and felt stupid. Note to all the KOA that allow worker residents. Many times these people are not very nice to their fellow campers. Often I have felt like an intruder in some kind of private club. They do not act like employees but more like overburdened hosts. This is not pleasant for RVers like myself and very off putting.
The camping space is wonderful however and I would camp there again....just plan ahead and try and get a riverfront site! a-1 is the least desirable and they get more private and better as you go down the A row.
