“Christmas at Lazy Bear”
Reviewed 18 January 2014

This was my 2nd trip to LB for Christmas and as soon as I got there I remembered why I wanted to come back. It is like coming home for the holidays. I can only recommend this place if you want a peaceful cozy place to unwind after the holidays. The amenities are great and you feel like your staying in your own dream cabin. Anne is a wonderful host and all the staff is great. You must love dogs because you will get some doggie loving. I enjoy Bella and Bo they make it even more fun. Hope you try this BB! I dont think you will be disappointed.

This B and B will not disappoint. When you arrive you feel like you are in an oasis. The property is well maintained with lovely outside sitting areas and gardens. The innkeepers are extremely welcoming and do everything possible to make your stay comfortable. If you are dog people they have two really sweet dogs who love attention. If you aren't dog lovers you will be when you leave. The rooms are really spacious and comfortable. The breakfast are huge and delicious. Great property with even better host! We will definitely go back this spring for another visit.

Stayed only one night at the Lazy Bear Lodge to see the fall colors and wished we had stayed alot longer. Anne was the best host - extremely hospitable and gracious. And she had a great dinner recommendation and even made reservations for us! We stayed in the Garden View room in the front of the lodge and even in the fall, the sound of the Koi Pond was relaxing. The room was exceptionally clean and the bed was very comfortable. We enjoyed using the gas fireplace which made the room warm and cozy. The bathroom was large and, although we didn't get the chance to use it, had a nice Jacuzzi tub. The entire lodge has a very homey, relaxing atmosphere. They offer a made to order breakfast that was delicious! And they had home made chocolate chip cookies and apple pie in the evening! Bo and Bella are great ambassadors as well as watch dogs! And they love to pose for pictures! Loved the gift shop in the lobby - great coffee mugs and ornaments! This is a very special place for a romantic getaway!

Room Tip: All the rooms are great!

This was our first time at a Bed and Breakfast. I am glad that we stayed at the Lazy Bear Lodge. Anne is very nice and knowledgable of the area. A little secret, she really knows the best Restaurants in the area. Our stay was very memorable from the start. We loved the the 2 dogs, Bella and Bo they are very friendly to all and love to get there picture taken. The rooms were very nice and well kept. The Breakfast is OUTSTANDING. The pictures on the web site do not do the Lazy Bear Lodge any justice. The pictures are exactly what you see. There is a whole lot more to see at the house. However, it is better in person. If I could give more than a 5 star rating I would. We will be back.
Thanks Anne from Todd and Val.

What a great Bed and Breakfast place this is to stay. Anne and Mark have made this a wonderful retreat for those who like peace and comfort and great food. We have been here many times and we will continue to visit for many years to come. Their staff are friendly and helpful and their two dogs are so friendly and playful. Anne is very helpful with directions of places to visit, to make the most out of our stay. I would strongly recommend this place for everyone who is looking to get away from it all and the beauty of this place makes it comforting and relaxing. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. We will be back!!!

I love staying at Lazy Bear Lodge! The owners are fantastic! Anne and Mark are warm and eager to please. They want you to feel at home. Breakfast is always delicious and in nice weather can be eaten out on the deck. Whether you're eating in the cozy dining room or out on the deck, the view of the mountains is gorgeous. I enjoy sitting on the front porch in the swing or in one of the rocking chairs and reading or just listening to the small waterfall. Sound idyllic? It is!

Beautiful location and landscaped grounds. View from our balcony in the Hummingbird room was breathtaking in the morning. Pecan waffles at breakfast were SOOO good. Beds in our room had foam like cushion pillow top things. We liked this, but may be too soft for some. Inn is clean, rustic country décor, and we heard no noise from adjoining rooms. They accommodated us with a late check-in and helped us find the local coffee brewer where they get their supply from so we could pick up some beans. Just a few things kept us from really loving this place:
1) cigarette butts left from previous lodgers had not been cleaned out of the ashtray on the balcony, 2) the two giant dogs are totally friendly and chill, but they were let into the kitchen, which I'm not wild about, 3) the innkeeper is welcoming and friendly, but almost a bit too informal and casual with guests around, kinda gossipy
