Celebrated my birthday weekend at the Mast Farm Inn and it was one of the most special celebrations I have ever had. Sandra and Danielle went out of their way to make it a truly wonderful weekend. Will definitely go back, as often as possible. Go hungry as you will not want to leave one morsel of food on your plate it is so good!

My husband and I visited the Mast Farm Inn for out honeymoon and then again for our 10-year anniversary. We stayed in the house for our honeymoon and absolutely loved it. For our 10-year anniversary we stayed in the gazebo cottage and it was wonderful too. The breakfast that came with our room was so wonderful. The grits and breakfast casseroles were so delicious. We had dinner one night at the Inn and it was exceptional. You cannot get food like this just anywhere. We cannot wait to return again soon.

Sandra is a great host. They made us feel welcomed even before we got there. There was a phone before our arrival to make sure our stay would be perfect. When we checked in there was a personal note from our conversation. The cottage was cozy and very relaxing. Breakfast was fantastic. Danielle served the best oatameal we have eaten. We would recommend the farm mast inn in a heart beat.

My first time in the mountains and the Mast Farm Inn offered me all that I could hope for!
The setting of the farm was charming. The Inn keeper and all the staff couldn't do enough to make one feel more at home. The location of the inn was just a short drive to the fabulous shopping in Blowing Rock and a few miles from the entrance to the Blue Ridge Parkway for the most breathtaking scenic drive.
I can see why the mountains attract people for skiing in the winter but spring is picturesque, especially at the Mast.
Every morning was started off with a fabulous breakfast featuring farm fresh eggs made in especially delicious ways. We were lucky enough to have one dinner at the Inn and it was wonderful.
I look forward to returning to the mountains and most definitely to the Mast.

Reviewed 30 March 2009

My husband and I had made reservations to celebrate our first wedding anniversary at the Mast Farm Inn in March. We read plenty of reviews prior to our arrival and are so pleased to say that our experience exceeded our expectations. We spent three nights in the Blacksmith Shop and really enjoyed our accommodations. Neither of us had ever stayed in anything resembling a rustic cabin before and we enjoyed the authenticity of our room. We were very fond of the gas stove, the soaking tub, the loft upstairs, the flat screen TV where you can only watch DVD's, and the rocking chairs outside our room. It rained during the first two days of our trip so all of these amenities came in handy. We know we would not have had the same experience staying at a hotel/resort.

The Innkeepers and staff were great, everyone was pleasant and welcoming. Everyone at the Inn made sure to congratulate us on our anniversary and seemed to genuinely care that we had a nice stay. We really did feel like we belonged there and at no point felt uncomfortable. Every aspect of our stay was wonderful, starting with the coffee basket delivered to our door at 8am, to the delicious 2 course breakfasts made with natural ingredients. We also had the opportunity to dine at Simplicity for two nights in a row and were extremely satisfied with the service and the quality of the food. We actually canceled our alternate plans for our second night to dine at Simplicity again. We loved the personalized menu's that were very detailed describing course-by-course the treats they had in store for us. We really enjoyed the all-natural ingredients and were very happy with the portions served.

To top everything off, my husband and I rented a Porsche and drove all over High Country which consisted of many surrounding counties. It was an unbelievable experience to drive an awesome automobile on the winding roads in NC while viewing the mountain ranges. This is a must do and we recommend it!

Many thanks again to the Inn keepers and Staff for making this the BEST three day weekend escape!!!! We can't wait to book our next weekend escape!

The Mast Farm Inn staff treated us like royalty. We are very average people, whom they had never met before. The made our 30th wedding anniversary getaway an experience we will always treasure. It is a beautiful place, the breakfast was amazing, but the best thing about the Inn is the people who work there. Just Wonderful.
