Fantastic place to stay. Shawn and staff are very personable, friendly and go all out to make your stay very pleasant and enjoyable. Shawn makes great breakfast. Coffee or hot water for tea are available 24 hours. Waynesville and the area is a great place to visit.

Stayed here with a Groupon, so the value was good for the suite we stayed in. Small details like the dimmer switch for the tub not working, no three prong outlet for my computer at the desk, no convenient place to hang a towel so you could grab it easily coming out of the shower and very dim lights at night on the very dark path from the Pond House to the main house were aggravating. The grounds are large and it is very peaceful here, but it could use a little pruning and sprucing up. Don't get me wrong, this is a very nice B&B, just not what I think qualifies as a five star due to the little details mentioned above. Breakfast was good, on par with similar B&Bs in this price range. Shawn did ask about any dietary restrictions when we got there. Suite was clean and the crackers, cheese and fruit plate each evening and a well stocked fridge with drinks was a nice touch. Snacks were also available in the main house at any time (Chex mix, Trail mix, chips and fresh fruit), as well as a decanter of Port. Shawn was a pleasant host and very helpful.

Room Tip: Personally I would avoid the S'Conset suite as it is on the main floor and it could get noisy at...

I can't say enough about our stays at The Yellow House. Our visit in April was our third in as many years, and we are heading that way again in August. And maybe again in October.

Shawn is an amazing host and he and Connie go out of their way to make sure you have everything you need. He is a fantastic cook and with the breakfasts he serves, you don't need to worry about eating lunch.

Rooms are spotless, and tidied up while you are at breakfast. It's like little elves coming to clean your room while you're gone. You never see them! Our favorite room is The Carriage House with a HUGE jetted tub, a peninsular fire place, awesome King sized bed that requires a step stool for me to get up on, and a private balcony overlooking the lower pond! There is no television, and our last trip was for 6 nights and we never even missed it. And we love the piped in music. Wish we had the option to run it all night.

Can't wait to go in a few weeks. Hope to see you there sometime.

Room Tip: They are all great rooms, but our favorite is The Carriage House.

The Yellow House is conveniently located within a short drive to restaurants and shopping, but the location and views gives you the feeling of being away from our busy world. The breakfast and 5:00 hors d'oeuvres are wonderful and plenty. There are a wide assortment of DVD movies to view. I have stayed in two additional B&Bs in Waynesville. This is the best.

We loved our first visit to The Yellow House, where our spacious and romantic room served as a base camp to explore Waynesville and drive around the Smokies. Grounds are lovely; we watched the full moon rise over the trees as lightning bugs sparkled and frogs hollered from the pond outside our window. Breakfasts on the front porch were delightful and Shawn laid out a nice wine-and-cheese spread every evening, which let us meet other guests.

Room Tip: We stayed in the pond house; only noise was from the bullfrogs outside. Excellent atmosphere and eas...

From the moment we arrived, The Yellow House lived up to all of the excellent reviews. Surrounded by a lush mountainside and two ponds you could not wish for a more beautiful spot. Our host, Shawn, made us welcome from the moment we arrived. His breakfasts are a culinary delight. We are looking forward to returning!

You cannot do any better than a stay at Yellow House, the staff are wonderful, the breakfasts are to die for. Can you say Crème Brulee French Toast? If you need a quite peaceful getaway from the rat race this is the place to stay. This was our second visit and it will not be our last. Social hour out on the Veranda reminds you of time gone by when life was simpler.

Room Tip: The Saint Paul and Carriage Suites are the preferred ones.
