Shawn, the innkeeper, went out of his way to make you feel welcome, comfortable and special! Upon our arrival Shawn showed us our double rooms which were very nicely appointed with period antiques as well as the latest amenities....stocked refrigerator, hair blower, books/magazines, bathrobes and a balcony overlooking the beautiful front grounds (mountains in the distance) complete with a chaise lounge, rocking chair and bistro table/chairs....a most enjoyable place to relax! After seeing our rooms we were showed around the grounds, taken back to the main house where Shawn pointed out places to find port, cookies and snacks to enjoy during the day, reading areas filled with lots of books, and an area for internet connections...if we needed. He also informed us that at 5:30 hors d'oeuvres and wine would be served in the parlour and then gave us a short history of the house. Before going back to our room to unpack he asked if we'd like our breakfast in the dining room or on the balcony and what time we'd like it served. Since we were celebrating our 45th. anniversary we chose the balcony. We were told Connie and Marie would bring it up at the chosen time and they'd call first to see what juice, and coffee/tea we would like. This welcome and the wonderful, cheerful personalities of Shawn, Connie and Marie made our visit special!
Thanks Shawn, Connie and Marie for your wonderful hospitality. We're looking forward to our next visit.

P.S. Shawn recommended Lomo Grille for our anniversary dinner...an Excellent choice!
