Ox Glen Vacation Rentals

We stayed in the Pinecone cabin and it was just perfect. The weather was cooler than usual and the manager came over and lit the fireplace for us. Even though it rained nearly the whole time we were there, we enjoyed swinging on the porch and sitting in the hot tub. The cabin is equipped with everything you need. Sleeps 8 easily. Enjoy!

We spent four nights in Pinecone. The cabin is well equipped, including a claw-foot tub in the main bathroom. The place is spacious and clean. We could not get the gas fireplace to work. This is the only rental we have ever been too that did not have a three-ring binder for guests, explains how things work and recommendations on places to eat or things to do. The hot tub was clean and perfect. The driveway is very steep and past rains left deep ruts next to the pavement. The bed was ok but not great.

We got married in Weaverville and stayed in Pinecone cabin at Ox Glen for two nights around the wedding, other members of our wedding party rented the remaining cabins. I cannot say enough about the cabins, property, and owners. The cabins were well furnished, comfortable, and had nice large rooms and porches that were ideal for socializing. The hot tub at Pinecone was heaven and I was sad I didn't get to try out the clawfoot tub, which also looked very relaxing. Three of the cabins are up pretty steep drives, but are still no more than a couple minutes walk from each other and there is a nice hiking trail at the top of the hill. Jim and Marianne were very responsive, friendly, and patient with us as our reservations and deposits trickled in. I am so grateful to them for helping create an oasis of calm around the stress of the wedding. It was perfect, I just can't say enough!

What a wonderful time at Ox Glen! Maryanne and her husband provided such good service and hospitality. For instance, our internet wasn't working properly when we first come in. We let them know and they fixed it immediately. I also appreciated that they had the local grocery store cards in the cabin for use. There was kitchen that had all our cooking needs. Generally the cabin had a very homey and comfy feel. We stayed in Coachhouse 2 for 1 week with our two doggies. Coachhouse 2 is the top portion of the cabin. I worried that having people downstairs would be disruptive, but it was so quiet and peaceful; we hardly realized that other people were around in the evenings. The dogs were so calm and comfortable at the cabin.

We have stayed at a lot of different kinds of places around the Asheville area and this was my favorite trip. Usually cabins are too big or too small. It was just perfect for anywhere for 2 people to up to 6 people. We did occasionally miss the giant (hot)tub that other establishments offer, but those other cabins are usually too tiny and cost just as much or more. If a big tub is a must, I think some of the other cabins at Ox Glen has them.

We spent our mornings on hikes with the dogs around the Blue Ridge Parkway, and the Rattlesnake (?) trail. The we would head into Asheville, Black Mountain, or Weaverville for some shopping or a meal in the early evening. It was extremely easy to get around from Ox Glen--I've always had trouble navigating the intersecting highways in the area, but it was so easy to hop on the BRP and get to Black Mntn slick as a whistle. We took Merrion (sp) road in to Asheville and parked in the garage on Walnut St. down from Zambras and Malaprops.

Room Tip: The coach house cabins are at the foot of the mountain, and other cabins are higher up on the mounta...

My husband and I (and our dog) stayed in the CoachHouse I rental for 5 nights. The rental had everything that we needed! The bed was nice and comfy, and the kitchen was well equipped with everything that we needed. There was a nice living space and a TV with cable. There was also wireless internet. The porch had a gas grill, table, rocking chair, and a swing! There was also a gate to keep in your pet! The bathroom had all the space that we needed, along with a washing machine and dryer. This rental unit did have another attached, above. It was the bottom level rental. If you are looking for more space, rent the CoachHouse II, above this one. However, one is prefect for two people, plus your pet! This particular rental was pet friendly, so if you have any allergies to them, I def wouldnt rec this one to you. However, Im certain they have other rentals on the property that are 100% pet free, and Im sure they are just as nice as this one! The owners were very helpful and pleasant. This was our first trip to Asheville and they were more than happy to help point us in the right direction. The location is great. About a 25 min drive to Asheville, which isnt bad at all! Plus, its only about 3 miles from the BlueRidge Parkway! The interstate is nearby, which makes it convenient to travel to other cities, further away.

My husband and I stayed in Coachhouse I for four nights and found it to be excellent! One of the best-equipped rental kitchens I have seen; we had everything we needed. The Coachhouse was perfectly sized for the two of us and we appreciated being able to bring our dog with no restrictions. The gate on the porch was a nice touch, allowing her to hang with us without our worrying about her running off. We had a problem with the wireless when we first arrived, and the owners fixed it promptly and were very nice about it. The proximity to Asheville was good, but far enough away for it to feel like a romantic getaway. Very clean and well-maintained. We would definitely stay here again!

If you are looking for a place to stay in Weaverville/Asheville LOOK NO FURTHER! These rentals are amazing. There are several cabins on the property and our family stayed in six of the units for a weekend for a family wedding. Every cabin was excellent, we stayed in Songbird , and I was personally inside Treetops as well. These are kept in pristine condition for cabins in the woods, with all needs and necessities of home, all needs were met and the view is of no other place we visited. The owners go above and beyond to assist with needs as well. Absolutely without a doubt an excellent value as well, and pet friendly!
I will definitely book again for needs in the area.
LOVED IT.

Room Tip: Every cabin had its pros - no cons as far as we were concerned. The view is excellent from each cabi...
