“Can always count on Stoney Knob to have delicious food and great service”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 3 August 2014

Whether visiting or driving through Weaverville, we always try to enjoy dinner at Stoney Knob. The menu is full of unique and absoutely delicious items. Since the menu is always changing we have not eaten the same thing twice, but we never come away disappointed. The service has always been top notch.

“Delicious at reasonable prices.”

Eclectic style inside with friendly staff make this an enjoyable place for a meal. But the food was the main attraction and it did not disappoint. We had the duck spring rolls as an appetizer, carne Argentina, and grouper special that day. Key lime pie for dessert - all ver good.

“An eclectic dining experience”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 31 July 2014

We had lunch at the Stoney Knob Cafe after a looong drive on the Blue Ridge Parkway - in short, we were famished. Our party of two ordered a "regular" salad with steak and the homemade meatloaf, with sweet potato casserole and cole slaw. Both meals were very good, but not outstanding. I had the organic coffee and my husband enjoyed a Torch Pilsner (Foothills) beer (from Winston-Salem and great beer!). The desserts are crazy good, and I settled on the baklava with vanilla bean ice cream. It was very good, but tasted a bit different from what I've had in the Baltimore area (can't accurately describe the difference). The service also was very good, especially with refilling our drinks.

The decor is what really makes the cafe distinctive. It is the traditional diner layout, but with black chandeliers, ceiling fans in the shape of propellers, an Elvis painting, a special room decorated in blue and silver with a disco ball, and a bar area with cozy seating, a fireplace, and Greek statue.
