We stayed five nights and had a wonderful visit. Very economically priced and within walking distance from several restaurants and even the beach (although a long walk). The rooms were clean and comfortable (though a bit small). The check-in / counter staff were superbly pleasant and helpful. The complimentary breakfast was better than any that I have seen including hot selections as well as cold selections - a large variety for all. The bar area is open from 5 til 10 pm perfect for an after dinner drink or nightcap. The bar manager, Jean, was the most accommodating and professional person we have encountered in quite some time. We were VERY pleased with our stay and would recommend this hotel to all as an economical choice.

We are so pleased you enjoyed your stay with us at the Landfall Park Hampton Inn & Suites. I am very happy to see your comments especially about our new breakfast offerings. We have just recently made the changes and it is good to see the positive comments.

We look forward to having you back in the near future.

I'm a Diamond with Hilton so you can trust this review.

The reason I choose this Hampton Inn was due to the fact that they had an exceptional suite with was deemed their "Signature Suite" and only one existed in the entire hotel. This Suite was suppose to have stereo system, antique dinning table and writing desk, etc.

While those things were included in the room I would compare their quality and appearance to average beach house furniture. The couch has a 4 inch cut in the fabric that has been poorly repaired. The carpet which is Berber has a huge stain just to the left as you walk into the room. The rest of the carpet has dark tracked-in dirty pathways through-out, and is water damaged around the bathroom.

The shower stall appears to be from the 1970s with horrible patch work done along the transition areas. The shower door is hard to open and close, plus there are big stains on the old ceiling tiles.

The computer desk is very tiny with little work space and your knees are jammed underneath which becomes very uncomfortable. Also the stereo would not play the TV sound no matter how many different ways you tried.

I did run on their treadmill in the fitness area which was certainly interesting. I used to sell treadmills and have never in my life seen this brand. If you are a runner I would look elsewhere. The free weights looked like they came from a garage sale with chipped paint and rust.

I stay in a lot of Hampton Inns so take my word and look at another property, I would suggest the Homewood Suites as my stay there was excellent. Either way this place is in need of a complete remodeling and new equipment.

Thank you very much for your comments on your recent visit to our hotel. We have finally completed the renovations to our public areas - lobby, meeting rooms and corridors and will now have the opportunity to focus on that suite. I am sure you will be pleasantly surprised upon completion.

Our fitness center has also received some new equipment since your last visit and will still have a few more changes in the next month. The treadmill is new and one of the recommended brands as specified by Hilton.

We truly appreciate your feedback and hope you will return on a future visit to Wilmington.

This is a bit of toney Hampton with lots of lipstick on it. Everything about the accommodations is fine. The major drawback is the hot breakfast. This hotel has adopted what must be a new cost cutting strategy of providing microwavable sandwiches as the hot food items. Whoever instituted this idea should be made to eat these "things" every day for a month. Labeling them as food stretches credibility. In addition, there is only one microwave to serve the entire guest list ,so this causes a major logjam when several people need to use it. And they aren't exactly giving these rooms away, so loosen up those purse strings a tad, Conrad.

Thank you very much for your comments about the Hampton Inn & Suites Wilmington/Wrightsville Beach. We are very pleased you found the accommodations acceptable - your comments are greatly appreciated. I am happy to report that our breakfast is changing this week. We had been awaiting final approval by the local authorities of our new kitchen equipment and have just received the proper permit to provide the Hampton On the House® Hot Breakfast. I hope you will visit us on your next trip to Wilmington to try out our new menu.

This is one of the nicest hotels I have ever stayed in.

The hotel's lobby is beautiful. The rooms are very clean. The mattress was SO comfortable and we got a great night's sleep both nights that we were there. The breakfast is incredible!!! There was so much food to choose from. The staff was extremely welcoming and friendly.

I also liked their attempts to be "green" by having shampoo/conditioner/soap dispensers in the shower instead of small plastic bottles (that hardly gave you any of the product anyway!)

Overall, this was an excellent stay and my husband and I already plan to stay there again for our next visit to Wilmington.

This is one of the nicest Hampton Inns that I have stayed in. It is very clean and the rooms were decorated very well. A great location, it is just a mile or two from the beach and was very reasonably priced. I checked the other Hampton Inns in Wilmington and this one was priced as low if not lower than the others. The staff was very helpful. Ms. Scott Dixon was a pleasure to deal with. She always smiled and was very helpful. She provided several good recommendations on places to eat.

The hotel staff was great and knowledgeable about the area. We enjoyed especially the complimentary dinners and breakfasts during our stay. We found everyone to be friendly and willing to please. We loved sitting in front of the fireplace and reminiscing about our childhood. Many summers were spent at Wrightsville Beach as children. We are now 67 years and 71 years young at heart!

My husband and I stayed at this HI for three nights. We missed the location the first time around. If you aren't sure exactly where it is located call the hotel before you go. There must be strict zoning laws as there are no signs indicating the hotel. The hotel is in a quiet location a little off of the main road.

The front desk staff is helpful, intelligent and friendly. The lobby/eating area is more upmarket than other Hampton Inns. There is a lovely two sided fireplace and even a bar. The breakfast is your standard HI breakfast. The woman who looks after the area does a good job. She keeps it clean and well stocked. There is an exercise room and a pool (closed for the season). The grounds are nice.

The hallways are clean and well lit. The rooms were quiet. Large flat screen tv. Free WIFI.

Based on the above we would have rated the hotel 4, perhaps even 5 stars but since most of the time is spent in the room (to sleep) we gave a TA rating of 3 for the following reasons:

The room and bathroom were on the small size for a HI. The bed was okay (a bit soft for me). Neither of us thought the pillows were comfortable. The comforter was very lumpy and needed replacing. The towels were on the thin side. The Neutrogena products were good. There was blue toothpaste on the walls by the sink (neither my husband nor I use toothpaste with blue in it). The area around the sink could have been cleaner.

We both felt that overall housekeeping (and the bedclothes) could use some improvement. We have been staying in Hampton Inns for years and they are our hotel of choice hence we are comparing this experience to other HI stays.
