“Good Value and Comfortable”
Reviewed 28 April 2009

The Quality Inn is a good basic hotel that is located between Wilmington and Wrightsville Beach on a busy road with lots or restaurants and strip malls. The rooms are large, comfortable and quiet, with microwave and fridge. The breakfast was adequate with cooked to order malt waffles being the highlight. The coffee was weak so you may want to go to a nearby coffee shop if that is important. Service was attentive, the front desk held a room for me without a guarantee and the staff was very friendly.

I selected this hotel because of the previous review by a travel agent - and her comment about being picky. I am also a travel agent, but don't like to pay $100.00 or more a night to sleep. While the Quality Inn does not the features of a Marriott or Hyatt, it was an example of what cost effective, clean accommodations should be. Carpets were clean, bedding was attractive (not a fan of the pillows) , temperature control was very good, bathroom showed no sign of age. Internet worked well (I'm writing this from the room as I look around to find something to complain about). The hotel location is great if you want outside of the historic district - Market Street flows in the historic area and after getting turned around a couple of times, feel like all roads intersect at Market Street. Breakfast was great - and after staying in a terrible Quality Inn at Savannah - my faith was restored. No business Center. Refrig/microwave/coffee maker. No playground but a reasonably sized pool.
For the money, it met our needs.

I am a travel agent so I have been known to be kind of picky!!! For the money this was one of the best "cheap" hotels I have ever stayed at! I read some of the other reviews and based on the price of the rooms there are certainly going to be a lot of workers and such staying at this hotel. The reason they do is because it was a wonderful value. The front desk was very helpful, the heater worked great! And the lady that cleaned and stocked the breakfast bar was so sweet! She loaned me her towel when I spilled OJ in my car and then did not even want to take a tip. This room was not brand new but was very clean and modern. I am staying at the Hilton in about 3 weeks at triple the price and I will let you know!!!

I stayed at this hotel in December 2008 (room with two double beds). The room was dingy, dark and actually drafty (yes, drafty in the middle of winter). Temperature control is a joke - either freezing or roasting - nothing in between. To top it all off, this is an old style hotel/model architecture, where cars park directly outside the room. There is very poor sound insulation, so you constantly hear cars parking, doors opening & closing, road noise and lots of people talking loudly as they go to their cars very early in the morning (the hotel tends to cater to a lot of construction and line workers who start very early in the day). I would never stay in this hotel again! You are better off staying further away (e.g. Exton) & dealing with the drive to a decent hotel.

This motel was immaculate and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Everything in our room, from the carpet to the towels appeared to be new, or very near it. There was no mildew in the bathroom and the shower was very nice. The continental breakfast had a great variety of foods. You could even make fresh waffles. The price of the room was remarkable also. We got a rate better than AAA, which is usually the best. I would recommend this motel to anyone.

My wife and I had a wedding to attend in Wilmington and were looking for an inexpensive hotel for the weekend. We typically don't stay in Quality Inn type hotels, but we decided to give it a try based on the competitive rate we were quoted. From the moment we checked in we couldn't have been happier with our decision. The hotel staff was courteous and helpful. The room was very clean. The continental breakfast was just right. Overall our experience was wonderful and we would definitely stay here again. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone.

Wonderful motel! Pleasantly surprised! This hotel has been completely renovated and looks nothing like the picture on Trip Advisor. Comfortable beds and clean rooms. Staff all very helpful and friendly. The location of this motel cannot be beat. For the cost to stay at this motel I would give it an A+.
