This was the first time my husband and I stayed at a B&B, and we obviously started at the top. The Worth House had all the comforts of home and then some! We had a reunion with some couples we've known forever and it was the very best get-together we've ever had. We were in walking distance of great restaurants shops and all the activities that make Wilmington such a special place to enjoy. All my friends have bragged about the Worth House's fabulous breakfasts, relaxing backyard, and rocking chairs on the front porch. I would highly recommend it to anyone who likes to be pampered!

Room Tip: Choose lower floor rooms due to no elevators. However, Doug will help you carry your luggage to you...

This B&B is one of thes best I have ever been to. We were in town for a wedding and stayed here instead of the big chain hotel in town. The location was perfect, just a few blocks from market street ad all the other local shops/restaurants. We like to walk places and we had no problem walking to all the area attractions. We left our car on the street, we did not have any problems with parking.

Our room was wonderful. The bed was a nice king bed with high quality sheets and blankets. The room was very clean and we felt just like we were home.

I would recommend this place to anyone looking for something a little different but very clean, safe and quiet.

Room Tip: We stayed on the third floor, it was very quiet.

Louisana Room was clean and bright and very quiet with a very comfortable bed.The aroma of smooth organic bean coffee greeted us as we came downstairs to the dining room to enjoy poached apples, freshly baked lemon poppy seed muffins, shirred eggs, bacon and fluffy croissants that proved to be a great way to start the day. Margi and Doug were the consumate hosts, when we checked in they provided a map of Wilmington and inquired as to what we wanted to see/do and offered some great tips for where to go and recommendations for dining. The weather was delightful and we did spend some time in the large rear yard to enjoy the azaleas and the hammock, in a few weeks, I am sure the garden will be truly lovely as we were there in early March. All in all, a delightful experience, close to the city life (a few blocks walk) but far enough away to provide peace and solitude.

Perfect location for walking, touring Wilmington. Historic house where you can tour all the rooms as long as no one is checked into that room. Breakfast is served at the time they tell you, all guests together (don't be late). Margi & Doug are very helpful and will make recommendations on activities (and even make you something to eat if you slept thru breakfast). Lots of area information available in common areas. Good wireless connection throughout the house. Beautiful garden and sitting areas. Used a groupon, so can't speak to actual value. Recommend the segway tour if you visit. Do this first so you get ideas on where else to visit during your stay.

Room Tip: Recommend the Rose room (#1) big! and great tub and bathroom (no TV) / followed by Hibiscus (#2) nic...

Stayed overnight in the well-appointed, impeccably clean and lovely 'Jasmine' room. This Victorian treasure has housed guests historically into the present with owners like Margi and Doug, who do it with natural ease. From the nice happy hour at check-in to the amazing breakfast that was homemade with nothing continental about it, down to the great coffee, it was delicious and served with professional casualness. The best part is the proximity to downtown - close enough to easily walk yet out of the morass and madding crowd. This B&B gem is a true value!

My wife and I stayed at the C.W. Worth House in 2008 (I'm a bit slow at writing this review) and had a great experience. The entire property was well maintained and furnished with period antiques which were of good quality. A feature we enjoyed about our room was the updated bathroom with 2 person Jacuzzi. The owners were warm and gracious and were directly involved with day-to-day operations and it was apparent they took pride in their ownership and involvement with every facet of the operation. Breakfast each day was exceptional which helped to make the stay a memorable experience (even 4 years later). This B&B is located in the heart of the historic residential district and was surrounded with turn-of-the-century Victorian properties which were restored and also well maintained. Riverfront "fine dining" was also a short walk away along with many recreational activities along the waterfront. We enjoyed our stay at the C.W. Worth House and without hesitation would recommend this establishment to other travelers.

Margi is a gracious hostess and Doug is a marvelous cook - together they create a relaxed ambiance to make you feel like welcome friends in their beautiful home. There are lots of nice little extra touches such as snacks and drinks available on each floor, a large assortment of books and magazines to browse through, and intimate seating areas where you can curl up and relax. They are also happy to offer advice on what is happening around the area, and make recommendations to suit your interests.
