Food was cooked properly and service was friendly. Prices were in line with other places in the area.

This restaurant was great and we were pleased with the food preparation and high quality service. I had the mahi with herb seasoning and it close to perfect. My wife had fried shrimp and they were great as well. We highly recommend the restaurant and plan to return.

We have eaten at the Boathouse five times, and every time the food has been delicious and consistent. The flounder is excellent.

We stopped here on mother's day for dinner after the beach. The place was packed, but there was elbow room. Our waitress, Catherine, was awesome!! We could tell she was tired from a busy day so far, but she never showed it, was always smiling, very attentive and extremely friendly. She was, by far, the best server we've had in a while. Watching the rest of the waitstaff, they all were very efficient and friendly with the customers.
The food was great! They do not have the word "skimp" in their vocabulary. Our plates were FULL of food (including appetizers, which were plenty for a main dish), and all 5 of us took leftovers home.
We will definitely return to this restaurant.

Visiting the Boathouse Restaurant after reading several reviews. Located in the shell of a fast food restaurant, but don't let that fool you. Was there for dinner on a Saturday night. Waited a few minutes for a table, but this was to be expected with the parking lot and customers standing outside. Once seated, the staff was quick and friendly. I had ordered the combo platter of shrimp and flounder. My wife had ordered the broiled oyster platter. Both were cooked to perfection. The fried combo platter left little residue on the plate and was very light. You could tell the catch was fresh, as there was no "fishy" smell. Reasonably priced for the service and the quality of food. Will be back when in the Wilmington area!
