“Very Disappointing”
Reviewed 18 April 2014

We have eaten at Elijah's many times in the past. It is located right on the Cape Fear River and has a beautiful view. The food this time was very poor. I ordered oysters on the half shell and my wife ordered a mixed salad. The oysters were the smallest I had ever seen, almost non-existent with no plumpness and very little taste. I would have been ashamed to have served such pitiful creatures! My wife's salad was equally as poor - no mixed greens and a salad that was slapped together at the last minute. The choice of dressings was very limited. The only positive was the view and the Guinness. Will probably be a while before I return. Also, beware of the parking restrictions downtown - the signs poorly placed and misleading resulting is a $20 ticket.

“Good food but....”
Reviewed 17 April 2014 via mobile

The service was outstanding and the food was good. However, we felt it was slightly over priced for what you get and the options available, but again it was good. Although you've probably had similar at a good pub for less. Family of 5---2 adults, kids---3, 4, and 15.

“Tourist Attraction- Great views on the Cape Fear waterfront”
Reviewed 15 April 2014

No doubt it's location that attracts its customers here. The views are beautiful. The building is old/historical but the décor is dated. Bar is nice and open. Outdoor space is big. Food is only so so. Great place to go for a sunset dinner with out of town guests.

“Meals on the river.”
Reviewed 15 April 2014

Elijah's Restaurant, along with the adjacent Pilot House, sits in a prime location right on the Cape fear River, in downtown Wilmington.
Meals run the gamut from salads and sandwiches to full dinners. The bar service is excellent, with several beers and a complete liquor and wine selection.
Patrons sit and eat in full view of the very active river, almost under the Cape fear Memorial Bridge.
Food includes some of the best crab cakes to be found anywhere. In facat, they are far better than any crab cakes to be found in Baltimore.
