We have eaten at Elijah's many times in the past. It is located right on the Cape Fear River and has a beautiful view. The food this time was very poor. I ordered oysters on the half shell and my wife ordered a mixed salad. The oysters were the smallest I had ever seen, almost non-existent with no plumpness and very little taste. I would have been ashamed to have served such pitiful creatures! My wife's salad was equally as poor - no mixed greens and a salad that was slapped together at the last minute. The choice of dressings was very limited. The only positive was the view and the Guinness. Will probably be a while before I return. Also, beware of the parking restrictions downtown - the signs poorly placed and misleading resulting is a $20 ticket.
