my wife, daughter and I went to Pembroke's for brunch on Father's Day. It is a great chance to try some dishes you may not normally try at a reduced, lunch price. We started with the Fried Green Tomatoes with Pimiento Cheese and Bacon Jam (yummy!) and biscuits with gravy (a nice take on an old dish). Then we had omelette (the corn made it great), chicken and waffles (even better than you would imagine it could be) and the Monte Cristo sandwich (stay away from it). This is still my favorite place to eat near the beach and it did not disappoint. But for the Cristo, it would have gotten 5 stars.
