Oh my! Are you in for a treat! Ok, the place doesn't look like much inside or out. But the food is delicious and plentiful. Everything from pigs feet and fried chicken to banana pudding and fruit cobbler -- and so inexpensive! Pull up a chair for a true southern experience. Note: Casey's is closed Mondays and Tuesdays.

Try the pigs feet or chitlins! Not up to it? Then there's a load of good eatin' available at Casey'. Don't see it on the buffet line? Just ask and they'll cook it up for you! Love this place and worth a stop!

If you are looking for good and authentic southern cooking in great variety and unlimited amounts, this is your place. The price is reasonable if you are able to eat a hardy portion of food at one sitting. A meal with drink (mostly iced tea), tip and tax will run about 17 dollars. You will find all the soul standards as well as some less available items (pig's feet, chitlins, cracklins, etc). You are allowed to eat as much as you like and from the looks of most of the diners, many are going way past that. It must be said that this is not a soothing, romantic, and relaxed place to eat. Go elsewhere for that. This place is noisy, crowded, messy, and marginally clean. The surfaces and floors are past well-worn...partly because it is probably impossible to keep up with the volume of food and number of people served. The lighting is spotty, many surfaces are darkened by smoke and grease. The staff tries to keep the buffet areas cleaned up but there are way too many guests touching everything for my tastes. Our impression was that it was time to close the restaurant for awhile and do a major cleaning and re-fresh. The food itself is good, not great but the staff is friendly and attentive.

This was our TV first time to try southern cooking. What an amazing array of homemade foods! The wait staff were attentive and engaging. The buffet included a huge selection of meats, sides, and vegetables. Everything you can imagine from the bbq pork chicken and fish to fried okra, mac and cheese, and stuffed crab. The dessert selection included 3 types of cobbler, warm brownies, bread pudding, and several types of pies. They even brought chocolate chip cookies straight from the oven to our table.

We had read reviews on this place and then several locals recommended it. We also saw some flyers on it at the hotel and Ft Fisher so thought we would try it. It was exactly what we wanted--a local shack kind of a place making down to earth local food. We come from a place that doesn't have this type of food so if you want classic southern, soul cooking this is the place for you. It is very popular with the locals who confirmed this is what real soul food is.

They had popcorn shrimp, catfish bites (best deep fried catfish I've had in the south), awesome cheese biscuits, several types of greens, fried chicken, BBQ chicken, pulled pork, ribs, great squash casserole, diced turnip, several types of potatoes, three types of cobblers, beans, cornbread, lima beans, chitlins (not my thing), pigs feet, and fish. I can't recall the other items but there were more vegtables.

Service was great, even the folks around us stopped to talk about the food. Really friendly people all around. Owner was great as well.

Prices were reasonable. I think it was around $45 for 2 adults and 4 small kids. We were stuffed. If you've never had soul food or like it, we highly recommend this place.
