We had a light lunch here in the mid afternoon. There was seating available outside with a gorgeous view but it was so hot outside, we opted for indoor seating. They have large fans on their patio but it we were already very hot from walking the boardwalk. (Air conditioning inside was very refreshing.) The restaurant was very clean and boasts a comfortable atmosphere. Prices are definitely reasonable for the quality of the food (delicious) and the service. Our servers were extremely accommodating in every way imaginable; I was especially impressed with their knowledge of food allergies. Being a person with such allergies, awareness and concern of restaurant staff always impresses me. Our order was served promptly, at proper temperature. It was impeccable both in presentation and taste. The artwork inside was beautiful, and the view outside is great. We went on a sunny day, enjoyed people watching, nice music, sailboats drifting by and the USS North Carolina in the distance. Just a wonderful place to sit and eat. Highly recommend.

I normally don't order fried food but when the fish & chips had flounder as the fish I couldn't resist. Thank goodness it didn't disappoint. The prices were very fair. Don't forget to save room for dessert. The five of us shared a coconut cake. It wasn't your typical coconut cake. Wow! There was plenty to go around for all of us.

Bacon encrusted scallops.....mmmm....nothing more needs to be said, they were amazing!

After a bit of an effort to get seating for a party of 8 on graduation weekend, we enjoyed simple outdoor seating in the beautiful weather on the riverfront. A nice gentle breeze was blowing and the conversation focused on the events of the weekend and how great the food tasted.

Guided by the recommendations of our waiter, everybody enjoyed their food and beverage, and special requests were easily accommodated by the chef.

After taking a cruise up the Cape Fear River on Wednesday(5/7), we decided to have lunch at George's on the Riverwalk.

We sat outside in the shade but you can sit up next to the boardwalk, get some sun and people watch.

I had the fish n' chips plate while Carol had a black bean burger. Amanda took good care of us.

Highly recommended - can get crowded at time

I was surprised we didn't have to wait for a table for Sunday brunch! The french toast is out of this world. Excellent sausage, grits, etc. The only thing we tried that I can't recommend is the mac and cheese, which was all cheese, no mac. They had a special on mimosas, which were delicious. Be careful about picking a table nearest the water if you want shade. They don't stay shaded for long. The menu seemed a little pricey, but I suppose you're paying for the location too.
