New property, rooms were clean and spacious. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Property offered free pizza from 5pm to 7pm (we ran errands so didn't partake). Rooms were nice size and beds comfy. Breakfast was good the next morning. While we were there the roads around the hotel were all tore up due to construction but it didn't bother us.

The Good Things--The hotel is new, with spacious, attractive and very clean rooms. For TV watchers, the TVs are very big and the channel choice excellent. The room has a refrigerator and microwave. Breakfast is ample. The staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel is convenient to shopping and restaurants.

The Bad Things--The roads to and around the hotel were under construction/repair while we were there, complicating egress. The big caveat--Dickinson is a boom town for the oil drilling and fracking business. Nearly all the hotel patrons were oil workers/roustabouts. My husband counted over 50 white pickups with an oil company logo in the parking lot. We stayed there during the week, so the hotel was quiet. But on weekends, oil drillers/roustabouts have a long-standing reputation of being rowdy, so if you intend to stay there on weekends, it may not be so quiet. Also, the hotel is right off the interstate highway, so be sure to ask for a room that doesn't face the interstate. Our room, which wasn't on the highway side, was quiet.

Room Tip: Ask for a room which doesn't face the interstate highway.

For a La Quinta, this was a very nice property. Probably one of the best in their chain. The room was nice and clean and the bed comfortable. The one drawback I had was the noise from the people in the room above me. Not sure if it was a child or a nervous Nellie pacing back and forth. It got tiresome after awhile. I just wish newer hotels would take better steps for noise abatement between floors/rooms.

Breakfast was just so-so. Typical LQ fare. Coffee was terrible IMO.

I would definitely stay here again though.

Room Tip: Go for a room on the top (4th) floor.

It is new. It is clean. The room was big and well appointed. The bed was outstanding. The breakfast was very good. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The free pizza at check-in was a pleasant surprise. The price was very good for the value received.

Room Tip: The A/C works off a wall thermostat and not from the window unit (they need a sign on the window uni...

This hotel is still new enough not to be worn out by the oil field workers or tourists. A very nice value for the area where the hotel rates are expensive. I would stay her again without hesitation. I did not think the breakfast was that great but was typical of La Quinta.

I travel to North Dakota on a regular basis as my company has business in the Oil Fields and found many of the hotels in the area, lacking cleanliness except La Qunita Inn in Dickinson. For the price, which was in the middle of the range for the area, I found the hotel to be far above my expectations. The rooms were spacious, very clean and the facility overall excellent. The staff was great and the breakfast, very good.I travel often and stay at many hotels and found this one to be a cut above. I would recommend this hotel to anyone traveling and staying in the Southern North Dakota area.

Very clean! Beds were super comfy. Shoe booties for there oil field workers. I must say again that it was super super clean! I add impressed since it's right smack dab in the middle of oil field workers but when entering the hotel, all of that fades away. I am a clean freak and always manage to find the left over hairs from the previous traveler but not so here. Didn't find a single hair or grimy finger print in this room! Will stay again on our next trip to Medora. Hopefully they keep the same management/housekeeping management cz they are doing an excellent job!
