“Exceed our expectations”

I haven't stayed in many Ramadas recently, but this hotel may have converted me to a big fan of Ramadas. The rooms were exceptional: VERY clean and lay-out with separated bedroom was fantastic. Every employee we dealt with were friendly and helpful. I wouldn't consider staying at other hotel when we visited Fargo again. The pool area was a great place to spend Saturday afternoon with our boys.

I loved the Ramada in Fargo. Across from the West Acres Mall, the location is excellent. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful, and I couldn't believe how inexpensive the snacks were in the gift shop. The pool area is great for kids and adults of all ages, and i enjoyed the Happy Hour each evening. Last but not least, the room was comfortable, and cleaned with great efficiency.

Have stayed here for a number of years while attending a conference held here. The rooms are always clean and very quiet. The staff in the convention area is always very attentive and accommodating. The front desk staff is always very friendly and willing to help.

Lobby clean, staff pleasant and helpful. Third time we stayed, but this time we got a suite. Spacious and comfortable. Room was cleaned by 2 PM every day. For light sleepers like me, the room doors do not slam all night long, and the suite was even better. Only draw back (as in every hotel room) was the curtains. They never close tight and you always get a sliver of light coming through. All in all a very good stay!

We were a group of 5 family's on our way to Minneapolis for a Volleyball tournament. We stayed in Fargo overnight and to accomodate us all on the same floor they upgraded us all to Suites at no charge. We were all very impressed with the service. We all went down to the lounge to enjoy our complimentary drink while our kids swam in the pool.

We are already booked next month for another volleyball tournament being held in Fargo.

Clean, Friendly, accomodating and the pool side food was great for the kids.

I know they are in my own backyard, but Ramada Plaza & Suites is an awesome place to stay, eat, and celebrate. Their customer service is top-notch!!! I've attended events, celebrated birthdays, eaten great food and through it all, the staff works hard to make sure my every need was met. I appreciate their down-to-earth, genuine style. They're classy and attentive to anticipated needs of their guests!

Room Tip: I don't think you can go wrong!

Worst Wi-Fi connection of any hotel I've ever stayed at - they're still broadcasting a B network (11 mbps) which ordinarily would be ok if you could connect at anything close to that - fastest download speed I was ever able to obtain was just slightly faster than a 56K dialup. Forget about uploading, watching news videos/YouTube, or any other type of semi-intensive bandwidth tasks. Ended up having to plug in my 4G Verizon card - luckily there is Verizon 4G service in Fargo - hit 7 mbps with that on the 5th floor. The thing that really got my goat though, was that they charge your credit card $35/day upfront for what they call "incidentals" (somebody please explain just what the hell that is). They say it's for "just in case" you charge anything to your room. Sorry, doesn't fly - my expense account wouldn't let me charge room service or anything else to my room if I begged and pleaded for it on my knees. But there is NO OPTION to opt out - you either authorize the upfront charges or no room (wouldn't even let me cover it with a cash deposit). Additionally, none of these things were mentioned upfront when you book your room and the staff became rude when asked why one is charged for something they're never going to or can't use - you will pay your $35 bux per night and enjoy it - you will also enjoy their non-existent free breakfast. Last but not least, if you're going to have clients over to the hotel, be prepared to have half-naked, barefooted, screaming children/adults running around in the hallways/elevators. Apparently, just because the hotel has a semi-water park pool, this gives everyone a license to dispense with modesty decorum and just run around however they feel like. Bottom line, not business environment friendly, hell, not even just plain ol’ friendly – gotta go back to Fargo in two months – I’ll give the Holiday Inn Express right up the road a go at it.

We apologize your experience was less then satisfying. We are currently updating our wireless internet and excited about the changes to come! We do authorize for $35 per night when you check in for phone calls or room service. It is just an authorization not a charge and if you do not use it we do release it at time of checkout. We do also have a sign at the front desk that explains all this information as well. Our full service restaurant on property serves breakfast lunch and dinner for our guests to enjoy. The Restaurant, Basies is open from 6am – 11pm. We do hope you will give us another try and look forward to the opportunity to serve you.
