The VIP Room is located in the basement of the historic Block Six Building in downtown Fargo. It is only open for lunch from Monday through Friday. It has a very active catering business and it also does special events. First, the dialy lunches are quite excellent with most selections at less than $8. The menu changes daily, which is a huge plus. The selection is wide and attractive. It is a combination of down-home cooking and a special Continental touch. Chef Patricia Hanson Vetter got her formal training at the Cordon Bleu in Paris. Of course, despite her skills, one can only do so much at this price point. If you are looking for an inexpensive fine meal in an attractive setting for lunch. It is a great place for lunch and one of the best bargains in town. The restaurant also does special theme dinner events. That is when Chef Patty can really shine with a broader canvas. The atmosphere is delightful and cozy. The management is smart and the staff is attentive.
