“Worth a visit while in Fargo”
Reviewed 7 October 2013

For those who enjoy turning the clock back a bit, Bonanzaville is a great attraction while in the Fargo area. Several historic homes and buildings are gathered in a small town setting. Besides homes including Fargo's first homestead, small stores, a bank, church and even city hall are open to for visitors viewing. All are completely set up as they looked during their heyday. Visitors can also view a real steam train from the 1800's, and walk through a Northern Pacific Railway passenger car and caboose. Some newer fabricated buildings house a classic tractor collection, classic automobile collection, Historical airplanes, and another building holds the history of the telephone. All are very enjoyable to people of all ages. Throughout Bonanzaville, I caught myself saying, "I remember that"!

“Great place to visit”
Reviewed 26 September 2013

A ton of historical artifacts. It has a large Pioneer Village that is great to spend time visiting. The old car musuem houses some of the oldest and most rare automobiles. I would highly recommend visiting for a long period of time as it has everything. My kids enjoyed the train museum, the telephone museum and the old school the most. This place is fun for all ages.

“Best attraction in Fargo”
Reviewed 21 September 2013 via mobile

Pleasantly surprised by the quality and variety of the exhibits. If you like antiques and historical treasures, this is for you. It took close to 3 hours to walk through all the buildings and exhibits. Well worth the price of the $10 admission.

“A lot going on”
Reviewed 11 September 2013

I'll say up front, you need to like history and be willing to linger a bit at some of the displays. Really really antsy kids may get distracted, although there's enough here to keep them happy and you can certainly power through quickly. But you'll miss a lot. Always love the model railroad and full-size train display; the antique farm equipment; the old cars; and the displays of early pioneer living. Also, don't overlook the main museum when you first come in, most people are eager to get out into Bonanzaville proper but the museum has outstanding interpretive displays. Good gift shop also.

Cant wait to go back! My husband and I took our 19 month old with us, she had fun walking through the old houses and up and down the stairs. We had fun looking at all of the neat things!! The telephone museum was fun.
