Owner description: A recreated pioneer village, Bonanzaville is Fargo's must-see destination with over 400,000 artifacts in 43 historic buildings to simulate late 19th-century life in the Red River Valley. Our museum collections include a tractor museum, air museum, car museum, Fargo's First House, the Houston House, a model railroad train display, and more. The new Lucien C. Barnes Pavilion has a rotating exhibit gallery that always offers something new to see year round. Theres something for everyone in the family at Bonanzaville!

“fabulous place”

this takes you into another world, we absolutely loved it and would highly recommend it, on the outskirts of Fargo near the Interstate. Allow plenty of time for a visit as we found we were there 3 hours or more and loved it all. We were there on mothers day and I got in free of charge a bonus although the entrance charge is very reasonable. If you are in Fargo don't miss this place.

“Enjoy it for what it is”
Reviewed 6 May 2014

There's TONS to see here, but keep in mind this is Fargo. It certainly is something you should do if you are visiting, and the great thing about small-town museums is you can get THISCLOSE to the exhibits (including locomotives, airplanes, and antique cars).

So enjoy it for what it is - an eclectic, and at times confusing collection of Fargo relics donated by the community. Relax and don't try to see everything. Our faves were the air museum and the miniature trains. Least faves were the artwork.

“Worth a visit while in Fargo”
Reviewed 7 October 2013

For those who enjoy turning the clock back a bit, Bonanzaville is a great attraction while in the Fargo area. Several historic homes and buildings are gathered in a small town setting. Besides homes including Fargo's first homestead, small stores, a bank, church and even city hall are open to for visitors viewing. All are completely set up as they looked during their heyday. Visitors can also view a real steam train from the 1800's, and walk through a Northern Pacific Railway passenger car and caboose. Some newer fabricated buildings house a classic tractor collection, classic automobile collection, Historical airplanes, and another building holds the history of the telephone. All are very enjoyable to people of all ages. Throughout Bonanzaville, I caught myself saying, "I remember that"!

“Great place to visit”
Reviewed 26 September 2013

A ton of historical artifacts. It has a large Pioneer Village that is great to spend time visiting. The old car musuem houses some of the oldest and most rare automobiles. I would highly recommend visiting for a long period of time as it has everything. My kids enjoyed the train museum, the telephone museum and the old school the most. This place is fun for all ages.
