Ours was, I think, the last room in town the weekend we stayed there for a reunion. I suppose it was busy because there was a large sporting event going on in town. It was a beautiful, clean, roomy King suite and the fella who checked us in strangely cut $30 off the price. That seemed nice until we tried to use the toilet. We had to come up with creative ways to get it to flush. We resorted to only flushing when we had to, and restricting toilet paper usage. This WAS the only room left in town ( some of the front desk crew at the other hotels were very rude about it.) We told management about the toilet but I suspect that is why we didn't have to pay full price. There is a very nice public bathroom a little ways behind the front desk and that was useful after breakfast and before we left. I suspect the toilet has been fixed by now, so everything should be perfect. The breakfast was good and the coffee was great.

Love, love, love this hotel! We were so sad another favorite hotel of ours in Moorhead was sold out this past sat. but had to look around for something else. The Hampton inn is now our new favorite in the Fargo-Moorhead area. They upgraded us to a king suite on the third floor which was beautiful and even had an outdoor patio. King bed was so comfy!! The room was spacious and had a pull out couch too for the kiddos. It had little touches we loved like a lit bathroom light switch you can find in the dark and upgraded pillows on the beds plus the bedding is already on the pull put couch so you don't have to make it at 11 p.m. at night. The breakfast was great! Scrambled eggs with ham in them, sausage, and French toast sticks. The regular stuff like cereal, juice, waffles makers, muffins, Danish, and a favorite of mine, slices of pound cake. :) yum, loved that! The pool is definitely kiddo friendly, the hot tub is adult friendly. The pool area is totally about the kids with basketball hoops, a slide, and an umbrella sprinkler. Its not too deep either. One foot on the short side and three feet on the other. Since the reason we go to the other hotel is for their kid friendly pool and they were sold out, it was one of our favorite things about this hotel that they have such a kid friendly pool. We will definitely stay at this hotel again and again when coming thru Fargo. Staff is really friendly too a definite plus! 5 stars from us!!

Room Tip: Third floor king suite with pull out couch and balcony :)

One of the nicest and cleanest Hampton Inns. Nice and clean fitness room. A few recommendations -- provide shuttle service all the time and have Happy Hour at least Monday-Friday or provide wine and beer for purchase.

This is a typical newer Hampton. Everything is clean, comfortable, and modern. I did not have trouble finding good stuff to eat at the breakfast buffet. The guys at the front desk were extremely friendly when we checked in. When we came back from dinner we could clearly tell that a boys' sports team (maybe 12 years old) was staying here for the night and we thought oh no. However, we were completely undisturbed the whole night, despite going to bed at 10:30 pm and it being a Saturday!

Great Hampton. Clean, great location to the highway, friendly and knowledgable staff. Breakfast was a little lacking, not sure why. Hampton breakfasts are normally pretty good. Would definitely stay here again. Ask for an odd numbered room on the third or fourth floor then you can watch the beautiful sunsets.

We stayed at this Hampton when it first opened (we had stayed at the nearby HGI) on previous visits to Fargo/Moorhead. Things have changed since our last visit, and not for the better.
There are a number of new motels near this Hampton, and in the effort to fill this Hampton, the property is soliciting teen sports teams. The result is noise, messy/dirty common areas, over-crowded breakfasts, and in general an unpleasant and disappointing stay.
The rooms themselves were clean and the bedding and pillows were crisp and comfortable. The property offers very good access from/to the interstate, plenty of free parking, a business center with two PC's, and good wifi connection speed.
The pluses that the hotel offers were in our case completely offset by the rude, loud, and in general uncontrolled sports teams. Our calls to the front desk about the running in the hallways and up-down the stairwells didn't produce any results. We didn't manage to get to sleep until well after midnight.
If we return to this Hampton - and it's an open question whether we will - we will be sure to call ahead and confirm whether the hotel has any sports teams booked for the time we'll be here.
Overall, our review this stay is mixed, with good marks for the room, and poor marks for common areas and our ability to get a night's sleep.

Room Tip: Avoid the suite rooms with the balconies. The doors allow in too much light. Best bet for a quiet...

Hi Flying Lawyer,

We are so glad to hear you returned to our property. I am sorry to hear your stay was less than perfect.

We have since listened to your feedback and now have more strictly enforced house rules for our sports teams and staff two desk clerks during the busier times to ensure that there is someone that can respond to any noice issues.

Thank you so much for letting us know how your stay was here at the Fargo Hampton Inn & Suites and we hope you come back to give us another try.

The hotel is very nice for a newer hotel in the area, however the breakfast area had some issues, but at least we had something to eat. The pool area is small with basketball nets, water umbrella, and hot tub crammed inside, but good enough for little children. For the rate they are asking for their is better, but its close to shopping !
