It is open year round so stop in and talk to our Visitor Center Travel Ambassadors. We provide free wifi, popcorn, and coffee for visitors...And the bathrooms are spick-and-span! “Good for a nice sunny day downtown”
Reviewed 18 June 2012

It's Fargo's version of Hollywood. I'm sure many residents don't even know it's there. It is interesting to see the names of celebrities who have been to this "rest stop town". If you are downtown for a movie or dinner in the summer, take a little time to see the free event, but don't go to the address listed. That's hotels and businesses. Go to Broadway and 1st Ave N. Unless something has been added at the 44th St location. In that case, I need to stop by and see it too!

“Surprisingly large - REAL FARGO WOOD CHIPPER”
Reviewed 8 June 2012

Obviously the Fargo-Moorehead visitor center is going to try to capitalize on the success of the movie Fargo. It's an amazing movie, I love it.
There are copies of the script, a display case featuring memorabilia of the movie, and of course the actual wood chipper from the movie. There's also a replica outside. The walk of fame is a unique and interesting photo op outside the visitor center.

Ample parking for cars, trucks, RV's and people with trailers.
Free popcorn and coffee.

“Happy Birthday, Wood Chipper!”
Reviewed 18 May 2012

The real and stunt double wood chippers were a highlight! We arrived on a Sunday when the center was closed, so we had to come back. At least we could still see the stunt chipper and Walk of Fame. The maps of the Walk of Fame would've been nice on the outside near the Walk for access when the Center is closed.
The staff were very friendly and gave an interesting history of the Wood Chipper. I wish they had more North Dakota/Fargo souvenirs. I had to go to the Petro station across the road.
