Owner description: Our Visitors Center, the "Grain Elevator", located at exit 348 of Interstate 94 has bushels of information, maps, brochures as well as a gift shop. It is open year round so stop in and talk to our Visitor Center Travel Ambassadors. We provide free wifi, popcorn, and coffee for visitors...And the bathrooms are spick-and-span! The Fargo-Moorhead Visitors Center is also home to the woodchipper from the movie 'FARGO.' Stop by and have your photo taken with the infamous woodchipper! We provide the (fake) leg and bomber hats to complete the photo op. Be sure to see the Celebrity Walk of Fame outside our visitors center with star signatures and hand & foot prints in cement.
Useful Information: Bathroom facilities

We stopped in after another pleasant visit to the Red River Zoo. The woodchipper is great and there is a ton of great travel information for the local community as well as ND and MN. There is also free coffee and popcorn for the guests. The person at the desk asks if you need anything, and goes back to their social networking if you say no. Being from the FM community, I expected more of a welcome wagon walking into our tourism center, but maybe that's just me. Other than the staff and locals talking down some of the local attractions I think they set the stage for anyone looking to visit Fargo-Moorhead-West Fargo.

Hi Jesse,

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. We're sorry to hear that the welcome you received wasn't what you expected. We are addressing the issue with our travel ambassadors so others who stop by the visitors center don't feel the same way. Thank you for bringing it to our attention. We hope you'll recommend the F-M Visitors Center as a stop for people who are visiting or new to the area!

We stopped here to see the woodchipper and take some pictures. The staff were very friendly, and helpful. We appreciated the free popcorn and a quiet spot to relax before heading back out on the road.

I called just to get a map of Fargo, but whow so much to see and the staff were so helpful and could not do enough for me, there was free popcorn, free coffee and free Wi-Fi which allowed me to catch up on e-mails and talk to back home in the UK. The restrooms were spotless.
The other attractions here are the Woodchipper from the film Fargo and the Walk of Fame Outside. So this was not just a visitor centre but an attraction in its own right. Well worth a visit.

Visited Fargo because North Dakota was the last of the 50 states to visit. Stopped here to see the woodchipper from the movie. While there, I casually mentioned to the staff that we were in Fargo to make all 50 states. They broke out the celebration--they give you a fridge magnet and a signed certificate noting "your 50th state", take your picture for their web page and have you sign their book of everyone who came because it was their 50th state. If this is on your bucket list--it's the perfect place to celebrate.

If you are a fan of the movie, Fargo, you will want to stop here. It has the wood-chipper used in the movie as well as other artifacts. The young lady at the desk was helpful in selecting a place for lunch. Outside there is a walkway of famous people who have left their imprints. The Multiband building next door was also interesting to look at.
