Review of Fargo Theatre

Fargo Theatre
Ranked #1 of 19 Fun & Games in Fargo
Certificate of Excellence
Reviewed 14 November 2013

The Fargo Theatre has been beautifully and loving restored to better than it's original condition. The Wurlitzer theatre organ has been renovated and additional ranks added. What fun to watch it rise up in front of the stage and then disappear at the end of the movie. Silent movie nights are held regularly and worth the trip especially when the Chorus and Big Band orchestra present their pre-movie performances.

Loved the look and feel--so retro. Great indie film lineup was very fitting in this landmark of Fargo. You'll love the area as well; a clear break from the more commercial mall areas. If you are more senior, you'll have more appreciation for the venue.

We have been to the Fargo Theatre many many times over the years. It keeps getting better and with the addition of a small theatre beside it, can show many films throughout the year. We nearly always go to the Fargo Theatre if we are itching for a movie. Their selection of films are right up our alley!

I've been here many times seeing both classic films like 2001 and Jaws and newer releases like A Separation and Damsels in Distress in both the On and Off Broadway theatres. I love the décor, the help is always great, and pricing is almost too low. I wish every movie theatre was like this.

Enjoyed the movie. A big plus was the giant big screen - most enjoyable. The sound was great too. Seats were just ok. And I've had better popcorn elsewhere. Nice smaller sized theatre area. Overall, an ok to very good experience.
