“Lobby under construction, but room was great”

The renovation going on is pretty major so you may want to pass this up until their done. The Courtyard in Moorhead is a nice place. Anyway, the hotel will be very cool when the work is done. As for the rooms, mine was fantastic. Big TV, comfy bed, nice view and most of all - quiet! Super cold and super hot water - and I was on the 8th floor!
Great staff. Will definately stay here when the reno. is done. Easy walk to Hodo Lounge.

I came to the site to put in my review and was surprised at some of the less-than-stellar reviews. I thought for a moment I was somewhere else as my stay was great. Yes...it was still under renovation and there is a make-shift front desk but I felt the staff was overly apologetic about the issue. My room was fantastic. The bed was a sleep number bed and appeared new. The rest of the room furnishings followed suit. The bathroom was huge and luxurious. Large walk-in glass shower, good size hot tub. Very upscale room. TV line up gets a 7.5 out of 10. The restaurant menu selection only gets a 5 out of 10 but the food was very tasty and the portion was very good. Service was great, Lounge was comfortable. All of the staff were friendly and professional. Indoor parking was $5 a night (it is a downtown area). The hotel is near a lot of night life, a theatre and is adjacent to the Civic Auditorium. No question that I'll stay again the next time I'm in Fargo.

Worst hotel bed in the last 5 years. When we told the front desk while checking out, they replied that we needed a Sleep Number Bed and that room didn't have one. They logged us in as needing a Sleep Number Bed in the future.
Doubt we'll be back when there are so many better places to stay in Fargo, ND>

Room Tip: Try Ramada Inn Suites.

This hotel is undergoing a major (and needed) renovation. The front desk staff was not very helpful and seemed disorganized, but the entire front desk has been moved up a floor so it's hard to blame them. The restaurant and bar area was pretty deserted, but the food was quick and prepared as advertized.

Despite the disorder, the newly remodeled guest rooms are very nice - probably the nicest chain-hotel rooms in Fargo. When it's done, it's going to be hard to beat this hotel for business. Also, the location right downtown is very nice, and, if you're not familiar with Fargo, it is helpful that you can see the hotel from anywhere since it's so flat!

I hope they remodel the bar - it is very dated at this point.

I read the reviews under tripAdvisor regarding the Radisson and didn't think that the checkin
area being under construction would be a big deal. But it was! There is no room to handle
people checking in, and it's right as you get off the elevator so there is no room to stand to even wait in line.

We finally did checkin, and went up to the first room. As I always do now-a-days, is to check the beds for the undesireable creatures that are rampant these days. No bugs, but the mattress pads on both beds had gross stains that appeared to not have even been laundered. We called the front desk, and while they didn't seem too bothered by having that in guest rooms, they gave us another room. This time, there were no mattress pads at all, and the mattress itself had yellow stains on it. I called the manager this time, and had him
come up to the room to show him what his staff thinks is 'clean'. He tried to tell me that this was normal wear and tear, and didn't apologize about this being the second room that was not clean!!! Further, I found two blackish specs on the mattress. I didn't want to get any closer to inspect what it was, and pointed it out to the manager. He assured me that his staff was trained on bed bugs and they didn't have any. I seriously doubt that since the staff doesn't know what a clean bed is, their training isn't all that great.

We left and stayed out in the West Acres area, which turned out to be a nicer area and WAY easier to park in.

I give the Fargo downtown Radisson a big thumbs down!

We've stayed at this hotel before and have had wonderful experiences. Other than the hotel lobby and next two floors being under construction our stay was still very nice. I was disappointed that normally nice lobby area was a tunnel of dry wall leading you to the elevators, and then the check in area on the next floor up was the size of a shoe box and directly in front of the elevators. We got there just after check in time and the area quickly filled up with guests waiting to check in, their luggage, and others trying to get past them to the fitness center or out to the parking ramp.

In spite of the cramped conditions, pile up of people and malfunctioning key making equipment (Murphy's Law, right?) the front desk staff were polite and apologetic for the wait, working hard to get everyone taken care of. Poor planning on the part of whomever decided to put the check in desk in that location.

The room itself was very nice, a comfortable sleep number bed and nice view across the river. I couldn't find any outlets next to the bed for my phone... and I found that odd, no biggie. The bathroom looked like it had been redone and it had a nice walk in tile shower with glass doors. There was some odd rusting on a panel in the ceiling of the shower, but the room itself was very clean otherwise.

The location is great for anyone looking for easy access to downtown shopping and night life. The Hotel Donaldson, is closer (right on Broadway) and for another $50-60 is exceptionally nice, but has few rooms and fills quickly. The Radisson is also a great choice for a downtown stay and much easier to book. I only wish I would have known about the construction.

Room Tip: We liked the extra space in the corner rooms, plus they are at the end of the hallway so less traffi...

Very dissappointed in this hotel. Was scheduled to stay 8 days but left after the 1st night. The front desk was a folding table with computers located in front of the elevators. Had to pay for parking. Carpet was frayed and dirty in room; poor cable TV reception, noisy, Ice machine located on 4th and 8th floor only (the 4th floor machine was out of order). The bed was a sleep number that was uncomfortable no matter how it was adjusted. Requested a refrigerator/microwave - the refrigerator was plugged into a light switch outlet and when the lights were turned off to sleep -so was the refrigerator- resulting in spoiled food. Food was expensive and they didn't have plastic silverware/paper plate for to go bag
