I can't decide what was better, the food or the service! Bioth were phenomenal. Truly a surprize and a gem and a shock to find a place this wonderful in North Dakota.

The food is quite good, and there is a well-stocked bar and wine cellar, with consistently good service. A pleasant atmosphere, as well. However, if you have kids, find a different option, as no kids are allowed.

“Something Special in ND”
Reviewed 2 October 2008

We first discovered The Toasted Frog through my finance's aunt and uncle. They purchased a $50 gift card for us and not knowing what kind of food they had, we were prepared for something that was over the top expensive. We went on a Friday night around 6:30. The restaurant was completely filled and the wait was going to be about an hour but the doorman immediately handed us a menu and got us some drinks, which made the wait quite comfortable. Our wait also gave us time to admire all the very impressive artwork all done by local artists. When we were seated our waiter greeted us immediately and refilled our drinks. When we browsed over the menus again we found that the prices were not what we thought. We ordered the Sweet Potato Fries and Fried Cheesy Pickles to start, both were delicious and both only $5 for a big helping. We ordered two of their specialty pizza's that are cooked over a woodfire oven. They too were delicious! $12 each! And we got dessert! Fried Cheesecake with chocolate drizzle! YUM! All that food plus leftovers, which they package for you, all for $42 dollars! Fine dining in a beautiful restaurant! Exceptional service and amazing food! I recommend this restaurant to everyone. Atmosphere also made nice as it is a 21+ establishment. No screaming kids! Nice! We've been there a few times since then and are planning a trip there tonight to celebrate my birthday.

“Best Restaurant in Grand Forks”
Reviewed 31 August 2008

We ate at The Toasted Frog again and it was even better than the last time. This restaurant and bar is definately no chain. The food is terrific. Apparently they fly their seafood in fresh and boy can you tell. Wonderful! The bar is great and the bartenders really know their trade. The wine list is impressive and the prices reasonable.
We noted that the crowd is diverse and everyone seems to be having a good time. Make sure and check out the art. It is local and good. This is by far the best place in Grand Forks
