“Good clean hotel”

The hotel is clean and tidy and well kept apart from you report blown light bulbs and they don't fix them. If you have paid for breakfast then be prepared for a battle with the Russian guests they clear everything as it is put out.

Just got back from the holiday of a lifetime!!! It was my first ever girls holiday, the 4 of us picked sunny beach because we were told it was lively and cheap :) we booked with twenties and not gonna lie we were a bit worried before we went cause we had heard bad stories about 18-30 hotels and the reps only interested in taking your money but they were so wrong!! For 4 girls that had never been on holiday together never mind to Bulgaria the reps totally sorted us out and made sure we knew everything about the hotel, where the strip is best bars/clubs and how to save some money! They told us all about events they done.. school disco was hilarious and every night out with them was jumping!!! But easily the best day of our whole holiday was the boat party... We didn't want to book it to start with because of seeing them on tv shows and everyone stripping and playing sex games but it was nothing like that! It was unbelievable and a day I'll never forget!! Even got involved in a game and won it for the girls!!!!haha
The hotel was great compared to the cringey places we drove by on the bus on the way we definitely picked a winner! It was a taxi ride away from the strip but I'd rather have been staying in the palazzo and getting a taxi home than one of the dumps on the strip, we definitely felt safer! Yeah you need to pay a deposit when you check in but we found out from friends that most younger peoples hotels are the same and if you don't damage anything then it's money back for duty free at the airport ;)
If you are looking for a decent clean and safe hotel with some amazing nightlife then it's all about the palazzo and sunny beach... We'll definitely be back!! And a massive shout out to Gemma and Sophie cause without them and all there help and amazing banter our holiday definitely would not have been the same! Thank you so much and we'll see you at the naughty reunion in November!! :)

First let me just say......THAT WAS THE BEST HOLIDAY EVER!!! We booked 2wenties just expecting it to be a hotel that was a bit more leanient with people being louder than normal etc. But we go so much more than that! The hotel was very very clean, the room was great (only downside was 2 of us had to share a small sofa bed, but was managable). When we arrived we went to the "welcome meeting " which was them telling us about the events that they run.....

A peice of advise, DONT IGNORE THE WELCOME MEETING! The best thing you could do is book these events. We met people at the end who were complaining about how bad their holiday was, when we had an amazing time, as we had booked the events. The 2 reps Gemma and Sophie were lovely and were always on hand if anything went wrong.

The hotel do ask for a 200lev deposit per room on arrival, and they do fine you for doing things, which is understandable. On the first night I set off a fire extinguisher amd was fined 100lev, which in most hotels youd get evicted for, so I couldnt really complain. Another downside is that the hotel is quite far from strip, about a 10 min taxi ride, which should only cost 15lev, but highest we were made to pay after a night out was 40 (it was a dogy taxi driver who we didnt want to argue with!)

Apart from that though the holiday was amazing! Pukka up boat party was awsome, and so was the school disco! If the reps werent so awsome I dont think our holiday wouldve been anywhere near as good as it was, so once again a huge thank you to them !!! Would recommend this holiday to anyone and everyone, perfect for lads and lasses, so dont read the rubbish reviews, as they probably ignored all the advise, and are just moaning that they didnt see their stuppidity sooner! Awsome holiday, book it right now!!!!

Room Tip: Get a room overlooking the pool in Palazzo2

So, been back a few days from sunny beach! and firstly the weather... whats all that about! me and the lads imagined sunny beach to be.. well... sunny! :) but what can you do we arrived and it was raining, and as we were leaving the sun came out! ha.

just a little low down on the Palazzo and sunny beach, 4 manachester lads who've been away to many places finally plucked up the courage to try Bulgaria... its not like its spain or greece where you feel safe but hey, it was the cheapest deal holiday wise so we booked it!
when we arrived and checked in - The palazzo is a really nice looking place, especially compared to some of the places the coach stopped on the way! think inbertweenes and €50! - We met Gemma and Sophie who we were told were our reps... we kinda guessed we'd have some people as we had booked a 2wentys holiday. They were really cool and asjked us whether we'd prefer to have a beer and chat now or wait until the morning to find out about the place... we chaose there and then, we'd read horror stories about going into the wrong bar and getting charged £500 for a drink!
They explained about the good places and the not so good places - like the strips clubs that take all of your money - they also explained about the events we could do with them. We'd always booked 2wentys as we knew that they had been going for years... we were suprised at the price! in malia 2 years ago and in zante last year the events had been quite expensive but here it was £95 here... for everything. We had been looking at some of the stuff online about really cheap events... we actually even tried one on one of the nights were we wanted to do our own thing but with sunny beach being only a few brits mixed in with loads of other nationlaites it was hard to chat girls up or even have a conversation with another lad.. they might have been chepaer things to do but for the extra few pounds it made a hell of a difference to us and the actual events we attended... have to shout out the PukkaUp Boat party! its not a booze cruise! ha...
some bars were doing ridiculous offers on free bars and shots, we got involved as well when we had another free night... it was ok, cheap booze is cheap booze... one of my mates did end up on a drip though... £250 was the price.. for a drip! I could of brought 200 bottles of water for that and force fed him! think it was to do with the alcohol he drank and its quality.

I would say one room of lads had to pay damages at the hotel... when they broke the door and put a hole through the wall... i mean... I guess you'd have to!

Overall the qulity of the hotel was great for bulgaria and the events and nights out were a lot better and safer when we headed out with the reps, but some people did there own thing and had an ok night. My opinion was we booked with 2wentys because they have amazing events and are known throughout europe to be safe.

shout out Gem and Sophie!.. see you in November!! ;)

Just back from the Palazzo with 4 other young fellas. Had a great time overall, the hotel is a really good standard and the pool area is great. The bar is cheap enough with a good selection but the food is not that great. The only real bad point is that the hotel is either a 1 Leva bus ride or a 15 Leva taxi ride to the centre of Sunny Beach.

Me and two of my friends recently went on a package holiday with Thomson to the Hotel Palazzo. As it wasn't in the height of season the hotel and resort were relatively quiet, however in our opinion there was a nice amount of people about.
The hotel in itself is beautiful and is definitely a good deal considering the price of it. The room was cleaned everyday and the public areas like the pool and bar were always spotless. We had problems with our sofa bed which was missing springs to hold it in place and had the thinnest mattress so was near impossible to fall asleep on. As there was only 3 of us we all shared the two twin beds, as this didn't particularly bother us we didn't push the hotel to sort it out and although we reported it nothing was done. After talking to other people around the hotel I think it's safe to say that this problem must of just been in our room though as everyone else seemed to find it alright.
We chose to go self catering but did eat at the hotel a few times. We met a few groups who were half board and said that they never made breakfast as it was 8-10. The pizzas and pasta were really tasty but we weren't overly impressed with the burgers. There aren't many restaurants around the hotel, we tried one called 'Siena' and really did not like it, however by the strip there are loads of nice looking ones. We went to an Indian called 'Bombay Grill' at the bottom of the strip which was absolutely delicious, we also tried one called 'Djannys' that was recommended by a local, which had the widest choice of food we'd ever seen and was so good!
As we were with Thomsons we had the option to pay for 2wentys events through the week, we paid for everything other than the boats. After paying we realised what waste of money this was, we paid about 150 lev and pretty much did bar crawls around the same bars every night. There are a lot cheaper ones you can pay for on the strip, or you can please yourself and walk around the bars. We realised on the 2nd last night that groups of girls can pretty much drink for free every night if they go to the right places. A bar called 'Oxygen' for example does a free bar for girls 10-12 every night. By the end of the week ourselves and people we had met decided not to go on any more of the events and ended up having a really good night going it alone.
Overall I would definitely recommend the Hotel Palazzo, we had our problems with the hotel but for the price it is you're getting your money worth and more. If you go expecting 5* service you will be let down, just take it for what it is and if you're up for having fun and meeting a lot of people of a similar age it's worth going to!

just got back from 7 days at this place, 3 mid 20's lads, very very average/ below average services on everything really. Thompson rep sophie useless as well. They will try fine you on anything and everything, wouldn't recommend eating here either. The receptionists behind the desk speak very little/ poor English and nothing seemed to be working properly for the whole week. On arriving to the palazzo and eagerly entering our room for the next 7 nights we were greeted with no avliable wifi, broken tv cigarette buts on the main bedroom floor as well as sand in one of the beds. A few dead flys floating round the room as well. Dont think the cleaners actually changed anything the whole week however they did give us clean towels but only as we asked. We expected basic as we only paid £200 for a week on the beer but by far the worst hotel ive stopped in and wouldnt fancy it again, please be aware as they will try put a fine on literally anything....
