“Recommended, one of the best in Sunny beach”
Reviewed 19 August 2012

We stayed in the neptun late july into August, Two adults, Two children (11,15) and can highly recommend it. The staff are polite and can speak english well, All members of staff be it bar, maids, reception etc are friendly and happy to chat and work really hard. Rooms are large and cleaned every day with the seaview rooms a must as they have a great view being as the hotel is virtually on the beach, It's near enough to the busier parts of the resort but without any noise from bars or clubs. Restaurant food is really good with a wide selection at each main meal time, there's some show cooking and a carvery outside on certain nights, Theres always something available that you'll enjoy and its good quality, drinks although local are decent quality and theres no issues with proper large glasses being used not small plastic cups like some AI hotels. The hotel is quite large so even when busy theres plenty of room and not crowded, there can be a issue with the sunbeds (isn't there always) and towels do get left with no one using them but although not strictly enforced theres a unwritten 30 min rule and towels will be moved but the pool is large and well maintained. Theres a good entertainment team for the kids although ours didn't join in much, interent room is ok and payg with another games room next door. The hotel is one of the better ones in SB and is I'd say in the best location, even the larger 5* ones further along dont have access to the beach like this one without all the shops and bars in front, I'd recommend it and would definately return. We booked through Balkan and have done a few times before, service and prices are great totally stress free, And our hotel Rep Galya was fantastic ! ! She arranged a few little 'surprises' for us as it was our wedding anniversary which made it even nicer, and was always happy to offer advice and find things out for us, Thank you Galya !

Room Tip: Book a sea view room, And take time to speak to the staff,

The rooms are very nice and clean and big, the food are "fair", better at breakfast and dinner, everyone can find a good meal, the pool fantastic and the location - the better in Sunny Beach.
The property is very suitable for family with children, but not with young children, because the entertainement team.
The staff professional (and knows English).

Room Tip: Studios are very large and can accomodates easily a family of four, and the sea view rooms are quite...

We've been here with an all-inclusive option, totally worth it!

Amazing choice for a long week-end but also for a longer stay. It's basically on the beach, also has a nice pool. The rooms are VERY large, the sea-view option is totally worth it, the staff professional (and knows English), the restaurant large enough, the food very good and varied, animation teams, good pool-bar. Also a nice indoor pool for when it's too hot outside

Lots of German tourists witch is a plus, the services are designed to suit their needs and also they're known for their education....

Close to the center of the resort, in the path of the "minicar"

Totally recommended both for fun and family time.

Con: Small parking, but that's quite a small down-side, you woun't have your car left outside.....

Room Tip: get a sea-view room. Totally worth it :)

We have just returned from a week at the Neptun Beach in Sunny Beach and it was fantastic! The Hotel was superb: We had a sea view room which was modern, spacious and cleaned every day. The Staff were warm, friendly and spoke good english. The service we received was excellent and we were always made to feel welcome. In particular the 'Animation' (entertainment) team were superb always busy and organising activities but never pushy. It is mostly a German Hotel but this far from being a problem for us, quite the opposite. There was a 'towel thing' with the sunbeds but there were plenty to go round.
The All Inclusive element of this package was good although there is room for improvement: we had no qualms with the food: the buffet meals had a fantastic selection of meat dishes, fresh salads, pizzas, pastas, breads and fruit etc. We were never tired of the selection that was available 3 times a day but the drinks were somewhat limited. It was just 'local' brands that were available but you could buy other 'named' brands, and one bar only served all inclusive till 6p.m. and the main bar till 11p.m.
The location is superb; you are right on the sea front and the shops and bars are all around you but this is not intrusive and there was never a problem with noise.
Sunny Beach itself is a busy resort and the hassle from the local restraunt people trying to get you to come in can be a pain but they are always polite and never over zealous. The Beach goes on for miles and you can walk as far as Nessebar in one direction or Elinite in the other (beware of the odd nudist spot!)
We had a really good holiday at Sunny Beach and loved the Hotel: one day we may return :)

My partner and I have just returned from a fantastic holiday. Our room was spotless and a nice size. The food was excellent plenty of choice for everyone. Snacks and ice cream served all day. If I take my children next year I know that they will not go hungry as they are fussy eaters and there was plenty of food choice that they would have eaten. The hotel was very clean the staff very friendly and helpful. The only thing that may have been a problem to other people is that there were lots of Germans and lots of people from other countries and some of them were quite rude. Great location for beach, local shops, bars etc. The pool was very clean although it was very cold. We found the sea warmer!

Room Tip: We had a sea view on the first floor it was lovely and quiet

stayed with my wife and 2 children(aged 13 and 7) from 12/8/11 to 26/8/11 travelled with balkan hoildays on a package deal all inclusive .on arrival a porter greeted us and after we checked in he escorted us to our room with our cases , very helpful explained about air con and locking of our door, very large room but little storage for a family of four only one double wardrobe.this hotel is very orientated for german and russian guests this led to continued communication problems with bar staff throughout our stay as they spoke and understood bulgan and german , very little or no english and some got frequently annoyed( there were only 3 other english families and the hotel is very big) ,quite dissapointed with food offered throughout our stay it was very repatative and nothing really for kids of any age , alot of german sausage , veal dishes, being all inclusive the holiday brochure stated snacks available from poolside bar and outdoor terrace between meal times , not so only items available were small selection of cakes and biscuits at 2.30pm every day, dining room staff very polite tables cleared quickly although chef habits a little worrying i.e as the food is self serve buffet i noted on 2 occasions when chefs replenished foods the serving spoons got knocked to the floor they just picked them up and put them back in the food, they also used a large griddle most evenings to cook various meats in front of guests , on one occasion the chef dropped the raw chicken onto cooked chicken and just removed it and left the cooked chicken for guests to eat !!!!!!!!!!!!, if that was going on in front of guests god knows what went on in kitchen? , into 2nd week of holiday we never bothered with breakfast , rarely lunch and maybe looked in on evening meal so be prepared to spend money outside of hotel on food, drinks were locally branded and really bad, spirits were very weak, one type of beer only and tasted like shandy, as i said earlier bar staff struggled to understand english what you wanted when you asked and became at times very rude when they didn't understand , no evening entertainment at all , some day entertainment darts, volly ball etc , hotel run kids club good but my 7 yr old lad struggled even though staff's english good all kids were german, thank god my kids made friends with the other english families kids and played in pool all day. hotel is centrally located , nice pool but freezing all day , apparently it has a cooling system to keep it cold ?
TIPS if u want a sunbed get towel on b4 7 am
dont bother being polite to germans as they are ignorant
ask for ice as draught pop is warm , dont be told by bar staff there isnt any as there is they just can't be bothered to offer or get it (except Alex)
take your own coffee as restaurant coffee horrible
no brown sauce and ketchup is different, take your own , very expensive in supermarkets as i found out .
hotel spotlessly clean all the time
would we go back , yes to bulgaria NO to this hotel

I went to this hotel this summer. The location is the best you can get at Sunny Beach. The staff is friendly, and when my own travel agency Apollo tried to ripp me off, the manager of this hotel took responsibility and made our stay perfect.
This is a very popular hotel and seems to be a bit overcrowded, but with this location and the beautiful made swimming pool area, it is all worth it.

The only thing this hotel really needs to improve is the number of sunbeds. It is depressing to wake up 9am to find all sunbeds taken by others. Even though it is not allowed to reserve beds, everybody seems to do it, and there is not enough beds for everybody.
