“Disappointing”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 19 August 2013

Travelled with My husband and 5 year old granddaughter. Stayed for 1 week.

The hotel was lovely inside however the outside space does not accommodate the occupancy of the hotel. It was clean and well maintained. Room was very spacious.
The food was good and a variety each day. Plenty of ice cream for the kids.
Disappointing how beach bar was only all inclusive until 6pm and the lobby at was not included in the all inclusive at all. You even had to pay for the drinks from the minibar in your room.
You had to pay a deposit for your beach towels, however this was refunded at the end of your stay. The safe is actually in reception and not in your room but you do need two keys to open it and it is the security guard that does this and nobody else is allowed in the room whilst you are there. You are also charged 6lv a day for the use of the safe.
Kids club was good and the staff very friendly. They really kept them entertained.
One of the downsides was that there were large groups of young people who were having drinking games by the pool nod were not bothered bout the people around the as they were very rowdy and started chucking people into the pool and fighting even though there were young children around. The lifeguard had to speak to them on more than one occasion.
You could walk along the front and there were plenty of shops and bars to visit, there is also a fair for the kids. It was really cheap with the average cost of a pint about £1.
Bouncy castles are scattered all around the resort and was reasonably priced
I would return to Bulgaria but not to that hotel.

The hotel is in a good location and is clean but that's about it. The food is poor and not a good selection plus the drink are awful at night from the snack bar(which is the only bar past 6:00pm). If you want to get a sun bed you have to be up before 8:00am and even then the selection isn't much. The rooms are a good size but have majors flaws their are only 2 plugs per room and because of where they are u can only use one. Also if you don't like going out at night and would perfer a quiet night in then you will need a pair of ear plugs because of the loud banging music. The hotel itself looks nice and is right in the middle of it all but lacks the excitement of those hotels around it. And also some guest at the hotel don't have manners you will find yourself being pushed or told to move by other nationalities. Also it says it is a family hotel but you will find your self in a hotel with loud drunken teenagers.

I have never written a review before but having returned yesterday felt compelled to do so. I took my family, wife and 2 teenage boys ( 15 and 16 ) to the Neptun Beach Hotel for a fortnight. The hotel had been recommended by the tour company as being one of the best at the resort.
The positives were that the hotel was always clean as were the rooms, the bedrooms were large with just adequate air-conditioning and lovely sea views. The food and the service were good although the reception staff seemed powerless to sort out any problems. Between the hours of 7am and 10pm the hotel was perfect for the family.
One of the main problems the hotel has is the number of sunbeds available for the guests is woefully inadequate, I did get up for 3 mornings at 6.15am to reserve sunbeds and was by no means the first in fact up to 50% were already reserved. By 7.30 am all the sunbeds had usually gone. We ended up going to the beach instead and paid £24 a day for 4 beds and 2 umbrellas, the sea was full of seaweed but was okay to cool off.
The main problem is that the hotel is not sure whether it is catering for families or large groups of single German men and women aged 18-25. Whilst we were staying at the hotel the mix was nearer 50/50. Of the 14 nights only about 3 were not disturbed by drunken Germans running up and down the corridor, shouting and banging on doors ( this went on from 1am until 6am ). One morning we even found a used condom outside our door !! When we complained at reception they apologised but shrugged saying " too much to drink, young Germans ".
The sea view rooms we had whilst very nice were opposite a bar on the beach that had live music between 10pm and 12am, the volume was turned up at 11pm and was very clear in the rooms especially the bass, making any sleep before midnight very difficult even with ear plugs. We found we were going to bed earlier and earlier as we were so tired due to lack of sleep.
The resort is not as family friendly as made out in the brochure but set up for 18-25 year olds with cheap drink, sex shops and strip clubs. The only other shops were supermarkets and those selling cheap designer gear.
The resort was best summed up by my 15 year old who announced he would be back when he was over 18 !!

Room Tip: Higher floors are most probably quieter.

We had a fantastic holiday in Bulgaria. The hotel is bang in the middle of the resort, everything you want to do (eat/drink, dance, karaoke, beach, fair, shops) is all within walking distance.
The hotel itself is clean with good facilities. The majority of the staff are helpful and polite. However we found the bar staff, particulary the pool bar to be very abrupt and rude. As an English tourist there is quite a common difficulty with language barriers and english tourists are definitely a minority in sunny beach. The food was average. We felt that there was a lack of choice and a lot of the dishes were overcomplicated with flavours. However that just comes down to personal taste- it was fresh, hot and constantly kept on top of. The pool area was clean and tidy- you had the usual search for a sunbed but it's no different than anywhere else. There were a few nice touches- for example we came back to our room one day and the cleaners had made our bed into art using the towels- they created a scene with swans and lilipads- it was lovely. I would reccommend this hotel and resort to anyone- there really is something for everyone. The only downfall to the holiday was that we did have to move hotels on the last night as the bar next to neptun beach caught fire and burnt down- damaging the hotel itself- I'm unsure how damaged the hotel is but if you're looking for a fun in the sun getaway this is definitely a great place to be.

Room Tip: Definitely request a sea view room...totally worth it!

We arrived in the early hours of the morning and were offered food in the dining room once we had been shown to our room. We had a a lovely big room with a massive balcony with sea views. The bed was very spacious and comfortable. There can be quite a lot of noise in the evening outside on the balcony from the mini fun fair, however, we could never hear any noise from inside our room at night it was always blocked out. Rooms are cleaned everyday and were always immaculate. All the staff work really hard throughout the day keeping the place clean and tidy. The food was enjoyable however could be quite repetitive and we ended up going for the same things day to day. It is very cheap to eat and drink out though if you didn't enjoy the food. Staff are very tentative in clearing away dirty plates and glasses. Some staff spoke good English and some were limited but generally knew what you were asking for. Free wifi in the hotel which is good. The location of this hotel is perfect, we tended to spend most of our time on the beach as it was so close and the pool area can be a struggle to find a free lounger unless you are up early. The hotel exceeded our expectations and is very good value for money and lives up to it's 4* rating. Would recommend this to everybody.

I had never been to Bulgaria before and was unsure what to expect . This choice of hotel was a good one. It is very clean, and staff were friendly and the food was ok. The good thing about Bulgaria is that food and drink is a good price, so even though We went All Inclusive we didnt spend much by eating and drinking out... The hotel is right on the beach and the pool entrance leads to the beach promenade and all bars and shops are easily walked to .. There is a small fair right next to hotel but we never heard any noise so it didnt matter...

if you want a hotel close to the beach and near to the night life then this hotel is a very good pick ..
