don't go with high expectations and you will be fine. some meals were cold but thoroughly cooked, just the heating buffet machine that is the problem i think. there are microwaves, don't moan but just use them. crockery was chipped but always found it clean and plenty. salad lovely, lots of veal, chicken and pasta dishes. try the soup its nice, breadrolls lovely and soft. the food cant be that bad because the restaurant was busy ever breakfast, dinner and tea! the pool is great and the animation team are great, dont be boring join in. kids will love this hotel (mayb not the food). the location is the best in sunny beach. go to the waterpark after 3pm (half price), beach is lovely. at front of hotel you have the nightclub so ask to move it does go on til 6am all though rooms are cooler in the evening at the front of hotel. hire a fan for definite. the rooms were small but we only slept in them and lived out of our suticases. the Brits were terribly aggressive to staff because they could not get more than 2 drinks in busy periods, they were a disgrace to our country, swearing and threatening behaviour. the staff were rude but can you blame them when they were up against such horrible guests. i always said hello, please & thank u and never had a problem. make the most of the great things:location, pool, animation, beach. you will have a good hols

My partner and I have just returned from our two weeks holiday. We got the sea view we asked for, however wasnt prepared to be awake all night due to the extremly loud music from the night club opposite.Unfortunatly we paid all inclusive, the food is very poor, lots of complaints from not only us.one evening the chicken was raw in the middle, people was ignored as was the problem, when they where told about this, lots went to eat out instead. There is only one cubical,no urinals for the mens toilette, situated next to the all inclusive bar, ence having to hold your water while waiting for your turn to have a wee.It also got dirty and unpleasent smelling quicky,no need when they have cleaners. There is no air conditioning so have your windows open and listen to loud music or put up with the heat.fans are availabe at extra cost but cheaper in the shop next door to rent.the exchange rate is poor ,much better in other hotels where we went to.we had to be quick to get a sun lounger but yet there was lots of broken ones out of use, stacked up the far part of the pool which should be replaced. The drinks are surved in small plastic cups and wasnt cold enough.

arrive at hotel pomorie 21st july 08 bad impression from the start. Hotel staff rude and not at all help full.Room the size of a rabbit hutch could not even unpack cases no where to put anything. Even worse when had to pull camp bed out at night for my son couldnt move in room at all then. No air conditioning had to hire a fan for two weeks which was useless . All inclusive what a joke had to que for ages for a drink and bar staff very rude served you when they felt like serving you. The food was disgusting not cooked properly and cold , cutlery and crockery filthy. The building its self is a death trap sockets hanging off walls balcony floor coming away didnt dare stand too close to edge or would have ended up on the balcony below. The only good thing was the Animation team they were fantastic with the kids and the evening shows they put on were fantastic . Just a shame they have to work at such a crap hotel. so if you are a family and thinking about staying at the hotel pomorie DONT IF YOU KNOW WHATS GOOD FOR YOU

Booked this hotel online, then read Trip Advisor. This led to many months of panic as most reviews are highly critical. I promised to write my own review when I got back, so here go's!!

The Good:

Location is fabulous. Minutes from the beach. Great pool. Fabulous Animation and kids club team. Always something to do. Not too far away from the centre.

The Bad:

The bar staff are a bit moody and surly. However, when you are faced with a queue of 20 drunk and abusive Brits, who want more than the two drink limit (I know this rule is stupid, but the bar staff didn't set it up), I can sympathise with them. The food was a bit hit and miss. Bulgarians don't seem to cook their food to the same temperatures as us, so get over it! There's microwaves if you need it hotter, so use them. Plenty of choices, but as they are catering for the Germans and Swedes also, don't expect just British fare. If you want Pie and Mash, stay in Blackpool!

The Ugly:

I thought the only thing that may have spoilt this hotel was the location next to the nightlife. Not much sleep the first night, but coped with it the following 2 weeks. Very loud, and repetitive, but it is a holiday resort, there are other hotels in quieter areas, so think about this before you book, and don't moan afterwards. No air-conditioning!!! Must hire a fan (the little shop next door to the hotel does it cheaper than the hotel).

I travelled with my wife and a 6 year old girl, and we had a great time. Loads of things to do, not as cheap as we'd been led to believe, but still found it hard to spend more than £30 for meals for us all with drinks and cocktails! The restaurants were much the same, little differences in the fare, but loads of steaks and of good quality! Beer is cheaper than Coke (she is only 6 so I let her drink Shandy instead :P). In the hotel itself, the things I found the most annoying were the Brits themselves. Leaving rubbish everywhere, when there are bins to use. Moaning about queuing 10 minutes for a drink at 10.50pm (what is your local like at last orders time, never mind when the drink is 'free').

Svetly, Loony Lou, Deni, Juliet, Bunny, Pinko and Natalya, a big thanks from me and my family. Always making at effort, always doing something to keep us busy and involved. Full Monty show is a must on the Friday, so miss at your own peril. Khans tent was great, but if you've small kids, try and get a table nearer the floor so they can see the show (and also for the blokes to see the nurses and cowgirls!!).

For the price, a bargain. Weather was great, a bit of wind but nothing too worrying. Use the official money changers, as a friend got ripped off chasing higher rates. Take UK sterling, as the rates are far better than you get in Britain, and they prefer cash to cheque. Risky I know, but if you're sensible....

Would recommend to a friend, but with the warnings above. The hotel overall would have got an above average if their was air-con, and if all the bars were included in the all inclusive package. However at £1 a pint and £1.50 for a spirit and mixer (and it's buy 1 get one free too) why bother fighting the queues at the end of the night!!! Enjoy yourself and go with an open mind!

i have just returned from the hotel pomorie i have spent two weeks there 23/7/08 to 06/08/08. two adults and two kids aged 12 and 14. the rooms were okay and very clean however with there being no air con and having to have the balcony door open you were invaded by mosquitoes every night to the point where we had to just sweat it out every night with the door shut.not good to have no air con or not even a fan in the room. the maids were mostly okay our maid was very friendly and would speak to us every morning.yes there is only one bar in the hotel for all inclusive people out of the three that are in there and when we sat in one of them one night we were told to leave as we were not buying anything. you could imagine the queue at about 10.30 when everyone wanted their last drink before the bar closed it was horrendous. certain members of bar staff were very rude to you and you felt that you had done something wrong. the reception staff were just as rude and had no smiles or anything.the food was okay after all you cant expect english food when you go abroad it just could have been alittle bit hotter and more varied but it was edible. the pool itself was wonderful and i am a none swimmer and i would be in there every 30minutesto cool down the only problem was the horrendous woman that worked or owned it whatever she did. her bar is situated at the shallow end of the pool so all you have are the little kids learning to swim with their armbands and rings and of course splashing around. well all you could hear from her was spot splashing my bar i have to work here i dont like water i cant swim please dont splash its a pool for gods sake what did she expect. you could not sit on the seats in the pool at the bar unless you bought a drink she would shout at you to get off the seats and once she told a young boy to stop shouting at the steps of the pool, all he wanted was his mum to go in with him. she was really nasty and horrible especially when a young girl had a fit one morning and the medics rushed to her aid and sent someone to get her a drink so they went to the pool bar for one and she gave them one free that poor girl had to spent the night in hospital and the next day when she returned to the hotel the pool lady went looking for her to get the money for the drink that she had had for her fit now i ask you she was ill and rushed off in an ambulance and this awful woman wanted barely a pound of her......dreadful should be ashamed of herself. but if you were a young lad or a group of men wanting beer by the pool bar it was okay she didnt mind that they were spilling lager into the water out of their glasses and bottles and even dropping the fag ash and cigarettes aswell now thats more disgusting that a little child causing abit of a splash. she either needs a customer care course or she needs the sack.i had been told that it was the first year the hotel was all inclusive so i think they have teething problems and need to read these reviews to improve on them.but lose the awful woman and that will go along way to improving things.

We went to the pomorie in june 2008.
and we found endless faults with this hotel this is the first time ever i have complained but i would like things done about this hotel.
1 Our room was facing the road and sea, during the day the music shop played music all day, and the bungee jump was going all day
2 during the night there was a night club opposite which closed at 6 in the morning due to no air con we had to have the balcony door open ,then the revellers came back making more noise
3 One woman complained to the reception only to be told the germans was booked in with a seperate company so they couldnt do anything about them
4 We was all inclusive but there was b&b people in the hotel as well out of the 5 bars there was only one we could use to get free drinks so therefore 4 bars were nearly empty and 1 bar was full all the time
5 The maids was stealing from the rooms we had some cigs taken other people had money and clothes taken the reception didnt want to know
6 Somebody found blood in the chicken and some of the food was half frozen hence somebody went to hospital with food poisionig, and was told this isnt the first case from the pomorie
7 In the restaurant i asked for a cup for the coffee only to be given
2 plastic cups together, then i asked for a knife only to be looked at like daggers
8 The bar rule was 2 drinks when busy but this didnt apply to the germans only british was refused more than one , on one occasion they refused a scottish man three drinks and there was only two at the bar.one woman was refused more than 2 and her father was in a wheelchair.
