DIT Evrika Beach Club Hotel
Ranked #8 of 222 Hotels in Sunny Beach
Certificate of Excellence
Reviewed 17 August 2011

Having just returned from the Evrika Beach Hotel we wish to return as soon as possible!. FIRST IMPRESSIONS;This was to be the first holiday for many years abroad, having had a bad experience from self-catering with two young children, I researched this hotel well. I wanted four all-inculsive on the beach. When arriving at the Evrika Beach Hotel, all four of us responded with 'Wow' and that feeling was to stay the whole 11 days.
I had booked 'D' block with a sea view and a pool view for my 16 ands 19 year old daughters, both were excellent, very clean, plenty of storage, good air-conditioning,beds very comfortable, hair drier and shaver socket. Sea view room had lovely bath/shower.
FOOD: Food, Hot Cold Drinks, Wine/Beer, Bottled water, all self-service,excellent. Management/Staff all excellent checked everytime that we were happy with our dining experience.
BREAKFAST: included bacon, eggs etc, cold salads/meats etc.Fresh breads, toast jams, fresh cooked omlettes, fresh fruit there were at least six different food stations to choose from.continential breakfast was available till 12. hot/cold drinks
LUNCH: Main hall had soups, hot food, chips, pasta, salads fruit, cakes etc.Hot/cold drinks wine/beer. Pool snack area had pizza, french fries, pasta, salad, fruit and ice creams hot/cold drinks, wine/beer.
DINNER:As lunch but with cakes and Angel Delight, Dinner often had a theme and we were given a drink depending on theme.
HOTEL GROUNDS: There are two pool areas, one at the front of Hotel(D block)which is quieter and the other is central, this is where the animation team work from 10 till 6 everyday except Wednesday. Pool/ sunbed (towels are included and can be changed daily) area is kept very clean, plenty of sunbeds, which are very comfortable, to go around and good shaded areas to place bed mats on when to hot.I was able to get sunbeds at 830, no need to get up at stupid o'clock ! There is also very good disabled access.
ANIMATION TEAM: Team are brilliant, spent time talking to us, not just trying to get us to join in,although both daughters and husband were glad to.They work from 10 till 6 and could be seen most evenings at disce etc.
BAR STAFF: Bar staff are so friendly and very quick to serve, never had to queue for drinks etc, local spirits, wine, beer, cold fizzy, hot drinks and most of all bottled water water availible from 8 till 12 midnight.
BEACH:Hotel is next to the beach, which is over 7km long, in the quieter 4/5* end of Sunny Beach.Sunbeds/parasols are also free on the private section of the beach, water was 27 ! walked from pool to beach most days for evening swim.
This Hotel far outweighed my expectations, found the whole hotel outstanding, very well run at this very busy time of year. The whole family have nothing but praise for the hotel/staff and would highly recommend anyone trying it.

Room Tip: 'D' block new rooms.

Recently returned from a 10 day stay at this hotel. Two couples with three children went along and all of us had a great time. Location is excellent; you can see the beach & sea from the side of the main pool through block D's glass doors! It's right on the main strip - exit block D and chuck a right and the further along the front you walk the livelier it gets.

Checked in during the night due to dodgy flight times; check in was nice and quick and the restaurant was opened for us so we could grab a quick snack.

We had a room in block C with a balcony that overlooked the carpark which wasn't great but we didn't spend that much time in the room for it to bother us much. Rooms were cleaned daily. Shower was hot and powerful! Cable television had plenty of channels for a bit of background noise when getting ready to go out in the evenings. Our friends stayed in block D which was much more modern.

Food was great, always plenty to choose from in the main restaurant. Proper fresh bread at each meal sitting was yummy (although not for my waistline). Bulgarian restaurant (buffet) was delish - one for meat lovers definitely. Recommend trying the Kavarma! Asian restaurant (buffet) had plenty to choose from and was nice. Italian restaurant (a la carte) was the best of the 3. Calamary starter and Spaghetti Carbonara main were both excellent. Snack bar was good, definitely worth queueing for the pizza! The poor pizza guy must make them constantly between 12 and 3pm, very nice! 3 - 5pm is cake and biscuits at the snack bar which are all nice if you're not already full by then!

The pool was huge and cold but as the weather was so hot (30s) while we were there it was nice once you dared to get all the way in! Trying to get sunbeds was a bit of a pain both at the pool and on the private beach but that seems to be standard where ever I've been.

Animation team were good if you like that sort of thing and happy to leave you alone if you don't want to get involved. Every day (except Wedsnesdays - their day off) has a full program of activities to keep kids and adults occupied if you fancy it.

Would recommend this hotel to families with kids of all ages!

Room Tip: Upgrade to block D when you get there - cheaper than via agent & so worth it!

Just got back from the Evrika, the 4th time we have been to this hotel. It gets better each time we have been, with some nice changes to the reception area this year.
The hotel is one of the best family hotels that we have been to, thats why we have been back 4 times.
The food is extremely good with a great choice at each mealtime, the dining room does get busy though.
Each time we have stayed in A block and have had a great bedroom, very large with plenty of floor area to walk around and a good size bathroom. The bedding is changed every couple of days and the towels everyday and also cleaned everyday.
The public areas are very spacious and very clean, the cleaners go around all the time cleaning and polishing.
Its got a great swimming pool area and a nice pool bar to swim up to. There are plenty of sunbeds and pool towels are provided daily, which is a nice bonus.
The staff at this hotel are a credit to it, from when you check in to when you check out. The reception desk staff are very helpful when you arrive and will help with your cases if you require.
The bar areas are very good and the service is excellant with hardly any queues considering the amount of people in the hotel. But i must mention the bar staff, they work so very hard, Stefan, Martin, Alex,Gergana,Yordon,Koto are just a few of them, just pop a few levas in the tip jar and see what happens!!
In the restaurant the service is just the same, you are greeted by the manager and staff and again they work very hard.
The entertainment is provided by in house animation team, for the daytime and most evenings and what a great team they are. Loads of games are provided during the day if you want to join in and the evening shows are provided in the outdoor amphitheatre. They also work very hard to make your day to go well, and are also worth a mention, Miro, team leader is great, DJ Tony is great for the music, Sneji, who is fantastic and Vlady is such a good laugh are just a few to mention, but they are all great.
Overall this is a very busy hotel in peak times, but copes very well. As a family we cant really find fault, and i havent mentioned every thing or facility.
Thanks again to everyone for making another great holiday.

We had a fantastic week at Hotel Evrika in July. It was beautiful sunshine most days with highs of 30s, although there was a little cloud and some rain for a few days but it didn't last for long. The lobby area of the hotel is very impressive and reception staff were friendly and efficient. The whole hotel was extremely clean and rooms were cleaned everyday and given fresh towels. You are also given pool towels everyday so no need to bring your own. The rooms were of a good standard but air conditioning could have been better.

Food was good at the restaurants although sometimes not the best of variety. There was always plenty fresh bread, rolls, salads, pastas and pizzas and at lunch/dinner there were lots of meat and rice dishes. I was disappointed at having no fresh juices just watered down orange and apple but there was plenty of water, fizzy juice coffees, teas etc as well as beer and wine on tap. The bar areas were nice but the house measures very strong! The snack bar offered burgers, chips, salads, fresh fruit etc every day. You had to book in to take advantage of the bulgarian, asian and italian restaurants and they were worth it as they were delicious. We were looking forward to the italian most of all as it was the only a la carte but it wasn't as good as the others.

Pool areas were nice but main pool got very busy most days however we always managed to get sunbeds although we preferred the quiet pool near to the beach. Hotel location was excellent and the beach area was lovely - free beds and parasols. The water was warm and the sand was hot, remember your sandals! I also got bit by a jellyfish so be careful when swimming. Watersports were great fun and reasonably priced. The Bikini Beach bar was brilliant and served fantastic cocktails, happy hour was almost all day! It was only a short walk to get to the busy bar area - great nightlife. You need to pay 50cents to get into the bar's toilets so remember to bring change.

The hotel offered some massage treatments and I thoroughly recommend the full back and shoulders massage, it was very relaxing. I also treated myself to a pedicure and manicure by the hotel's beauty staff and although I was waiting a long time for them I was pleased with the end result. The hotel's gym was reasonably equipped but the air conditioning was very poor, far too hot to do much cardio work. There was a free bus service outside the main door of the hotel that would take you to the Nessebar Aquapark which was a fantastic day out, it kept us entertained until 7pm. An evening out at Khan's Tent is also not to be missed - 4 course meal with a bottle of wine and some great entertainment. You can book with local travel agents for around 60 leva, much cheaper than your rep. We weren't interested in the animations the hotel put on but it looked quite comprehensive and well planned out for families. There were many nationalities in the hotel, british seemed to be a minority but that didn't bother us at all.

Flight times to Sunny Beach weren't very good as were in the middle of the night and the Bulgarian airport isn't really up to UK standards, make sure you get there early to try and get a seat.

Overall we loved our holiday to Sunny Beach and would stay in Hotel Evrika again.

Have just returned from a two week visit to this hotel. I read the reviews on this hotel before I went and was concerned by some of the negative feedback, but I shouldn't have worried.

First impressions, lovely hotel, grand reception area, very clean. I do have to say we were allocated a ground floor room overlooking the carpark in c block when we arrived at 4.00am in the morning. We were woken early the following morning by a loud bulgarian family next door and I approached Reception about the noise and was advised I could move room or upgrade to a room in d block overlooking the pool. I took the upgrade and it only cost me approx £50.00 for two weeks to do so, would definately recommend doing this at hotel as had been quoted an extra £200 by Thomson before I left UK.

Agree with comments re the standard of food, this was excellent and agree that this also could become repetitive, but there was always something that we could all eat. Hotel is exceptionally clean and smart looking (block D). We were on the fourth floor , overlooking pool, no trouble with noise at all.

Animation staff were good, and would leave you alone if you said you did not wish to be involved in activities. Evening entertainment was ok, although Bulgarian folk evening wasn't good.

Found some Bulgarians, especially reception staff to be quite rude in some instances. Maybe that is because they didn't understand us, not sure just felt that sometimes they could have been more polite.

Enjoyed food in both the Asian and Italian themed restaurants.

All in all, fab holiday and would definately recommend this Hotel to Friends and Family.

Visit to Nessebar is a must and very cheap on the bus and we returned to Hotel via water bus ( we didn't know this was available).

As for Rep, didn't see much of him but I didn't need to seek him out.

Room Tip: upgrade to block D upon arrival if you can.

We stayed mid July for one week at the DIT Evrika Beach Hotel, Sunny Beach, Bulgaria, and we were not disappointed. Prior to booking the holiday in January i had taken some time to read reviews which all seemed good and positive.

We stayed in a family room in block "A" which consisted of 2 adjoining rooms, each with its own en-suit which was really handy when we were all getting ready at the same time. One room were air conditioned, both were spotless, and serviced every day. Towels changed every day, and the bed linen was changed once during our week stay. The only down side to the room is that it was next to the road and could be a little noisy from traffic at times.

Food & Drink was in ample supply at all times of the day with a wide variety to chose from. We did try the Bulgarian Restaurant and the Asian Restaurant, both were very good. Our favourite was the Asian and we ate there on 2 evening of our stay, it was excellent and the staff were fantastic. We were unable to get a booking for the Italian Restaurant as they only do 30 covers each evening, so if you want to eat there make sure to try and book on the first morning of your stay.

All of the staff in the hotel, from reception & pool staff, to Management were very friendly and welcoming, i could not find fault.

We stayed around the pool most days although the beach is on your door step if that's more your thing. We did however take the No.1 Bus to Nessebar which is fantastic value for money, only 1 Lev each! Be warned, busses can get very hot and over crowded, but it definitely worth it. We also noticed that if you want to pick up some souvenirs and presents, they are better value is Nessebar. We ate lunch in the Aquamarine Restaurant over looking the harbour, excellent value for money.

This was our first All Inclusive family holiday and i would highly recommend the Evrika Beach, it will certainly be on our list of possibilities for next years summer holiday.

There were certain things that were very good, animation team, weather, cleanliness of room, pool good.but then sadly as few things not so good, which others may disagree with and that is fine.
Food-breakfast was the same very day, not even normal croissants, only the chocolate filled ones. Would have been nice to have just a little variation. Dinner, snap! There was some changes, maybe a change of one of the cold salads, and a couple of changes to hot food, but in comparision to other places we have been too (and cheaper than here) then I think they have got the food options all wrong. But hey we did eat, although we then opted to eat out 3 nights once we worked out there would be no change! So the all inclusive was a waste.
On subject of food, they have 3 other restaurants available, well they should be honest and say 2. The Italian, the only a la carte one, has 30 tables per night, only books week in advance, and with 300 odd rooms, it will always be full! We arrived on the monday, and tried to book first thing tuesday morning, all full until they open the booking again the next sunday! Guess what we leave then! So maybe it was wonderful, we cannot possibloy say!
Room-we had a family room which while clean only had aircon in one bedroom. So when that door was closed the other room was boiling! Response of staff, leave door open! Our response, we specifically chose this hotel because of the 2 rooms so we had some privacy from our 14yr old son. Their response, shrug of shoulder.
The following is just some help for potential visitors, nothing to do with hotel.
Burgas airport - be aware on the return flight it is very hot, few facilities, no seats (unless you get there hours beforehand) and you need to pay 1 lev for your bag to put any liquids in which you are taking as hand luggage (less than 100ml of course!). You rep does not tell you that (or ours did not), no signs anywhere, and very confusing. If we did it again (and we wont) then we would not go through security until we had to. More air outside!
