“Bad service”
Reviewed 28 September 2011

Bad service. When things are not good in the room, you can ask the reception many times without a fix. Only one elevator for a region - you can wait a lot of time. No towels at the pool ! Not enough chairs / sunbeds at the pool.
Beside that, the pool itself is big, with very cold water, even at the summer. Food is pretty much ok.

Just came back from this hotel after two weeks and have absolutely no complaints, the rooms were large and cleaned everyday by the maid all the staff were always pleasant and helpful. The location is fantastic and close to all the bars and restaurants, only drawback was the food which after a while begins to become very repetitive but that is really the only complaint.

To sum it up don't be put off by reviews I was there with three other people and not one of us had a complaint The hotel is really nice and ticked all the Right boxes for all of us. Oh yeah the pool is absolutely fantastic and sun loungers were never a problem to find.

just back from victoria palace , where do you start .management shocking, staff ignorent and extremely rude , no where near enough sunbeds to match the amount of guests , the hotel itself needs a complete revamp on how to look after guests ,the restaurant isnt big enough to cater for the size of the hotel ,the food is like slops with the butter 2 years out of date ,bar in eveing far to small for all inclusive also pool bar through the day the staff there were more interested in talking among themselves than serving drinks , all others bars where either closed or not being used. our rep from balkan holidays was no use .looks stunning but very much the opposite, will go back to bulgaria ,but never again in this hotel.

Me and my husband were here last year, 10 of us to be exact, had a wonderful time so decided to go back for my 40th birthday....big mistake....
When we arrived we were given a room with no balcony after paying for a sea view, complained and we were then given a better room, with a view....
Food was awful, always cold and repetative, its fine if you are Russian or German, and i must say there are a lot of people that dont seem to know how to wait in a queue, the only time i ever heard thanks and please were from the brits......
The guy on the front desk was extremly rude and arrogant, between him and the security guard i felt very intimidated when i wasnt with my husband.....
Took us 3 days to get a sunbed at the pool and you had to be down at 7.00am, i mean we were meant to be on holiday enjoying a lie in....
Talking to other holidaymakers we heard a lot of bad reviews....someone found used sanitry towels and condoms in their room, i saw the pics.....disgusting.....
We also witnessed 2 junkies sleeping on the big comfy beds at the pool, and urinating on them, taking drugs and harrassing the guests, eventually the security removed them....
There is no way the Victoria Palace should be a 5 star, more like a 3 star and thats me being kind due to the location.....
Definatley wont be returning here, maybe try the Majestic or Evrika beach....
Please take note of the reviews as people are only trying to be honest......Spend your money elsewhere and have a better holiday than we did......
Best thing about this holiday was the peolpe we met.....

When you arrive at this hotel you would be delighted with your choice as it looks great. We booked for two weeks B&B (thank God we were not all inclusive).

The lift which serviced the part of the hotel we were staying in was constantly getting stuck on floor 4 (we were on floor 8) in the two weeks never did the lift work for a full day.

The plates were wet and sometimes dirty a kitchen towel was supplied for the guests to dry and sometimes clean the plates. No teaspoons only a plastic stick to stir and squeeze teabags. Some days the basics i.e. butter, teacups etc. were not available and when staff were asked about these they did not do anything.

The sun beds were very old and worn out and not near enough for the guests (I asked at reception about this and was told the hotel can cater for 1200 guests and they have around 300 sun beds). People were lying on their towels on the cement around the pool area.

The public toilets which were used by guests from the dining room and the pool area were really disgusting and had a constant stomach turning foul smell.

The only thing I can say is DO NOT GO TO THIS HOTEL. This is not a 4 star hotel or 5 star as the sign outside the hotel states.

We stayed at the vp from the 3 sep - 17sep we read all the reviews before we went but were;nt bothered we are all open minded and only wanted a relaxing holiday, we arrived at about 2 in the morning hotel very impressive from inside to outside till you see it in the daylight, furniture was quirky but it was filthy and falling to bits, after finding our room- we didnt have a balcony ( that we booked )i would confront them in the morning just get to bed ( OMG ) the bed smelt of sweat like someone had just climbed out of it yuk,
I werent well on the sunday so slept all day till teatime down for tea, for a start off the plates were the size you would give to a small child but it didnt matter cos the food werent worth having the bread was stale or green mouldy and the butter was 2 years out of date and i would nt give the food to a starving dog,
Sunday night was the start of the nightmare, a big family of iraeli gypsies occupide 4-5 rooms on our floor and they really like to party and invite prostitutes to there room masking the noises with very loud music, complained nothing done about it , this went on till wednesday night running up and down the corridores shouting screaming and kicking doors ( RAGE ) I ran out in to the corridore to confront them only to be told by them to be quiet ( WHAT A JOKE ) me and my family went to reseption and refused to move till they moved us, Th new room still no balcony so spoke to our rep who wanted 160 pound per room for balcony ( for get it ) We had to eat out all the time money dwindling away less prezzies to take home, the drinks were appalling no choice i dont drink beer the only spirits they had were whiskey, vodka, brandy, perno or white rum i dont drink none of them so drank cola all holiday.
The maid left us a towel with a poo stain on it we threw it on the floor and she picked it back up and folded it so we could;nt see the stain this went on for 3 days till she took the hint and changed it ( DIRTY COW ), The carpets in the rooms were sticky with muck the full hotel was filthy and tatty and the sunbeds are the same falling apart we trapped our fingers so many times, and dont ever leave your sunbed as the germans and the israelis just take them.
Hotel was a dump all fur coat and no knickers, sunny beach was great if i went backi would go self catering and not back to this hotel, id rate this hotel a 1 star and that would be for the swimming pools only
