Second visit to Hotel Aurelia and we had a thoroughly great time. Great location, extremely helpful staff who go out of their way to assist you. They even managed to get our favourite wine from last year which was sadly not of the wine list this year - excellent!! Fantastic large room and fab weather so all in all - another lovely stay. Hope to return next year. Thank you to all the staff, the lady who cleans and made towel displays, the reception staff who are so friendly and the bar staff who really tried hard to assist

Stayed here in September 2010, we did not necessarily chose this particular hotel as it was part of a last minute package, however, we were not disappointed. As we arrived about 1 o'clock in the morning it was hard to make a first impression. We were shown to our room and although it was a double the beds were disjointed due to the headboard being against a wall that jutted out, so not quite a double. However, I went down to Reception to ask to be moved to a room with a proper double bed and we were accommodated immediately. In our room we had air conditioning and a fridge at no extra cost. We also had a small balcony which overlooked the pool. We went to breakfast with trepidation after reading reviews about cold baked beans, but actually it wasn't that bad. By the end of the holiday we were quite used to it and we managed to get the waitresses to serve proper coffee in larger cups. The waitresses were lovely and once you got them chatting they were a delight and loved to practice their English and find out about our culture. The food here was lovely, although we mainly only ate at lunchtime at the hotel, their cheesey chips were lovely! Drinks and food were cheap and we didn't really need to go out much during the day, but this was just a relaxing holiday for us. The pool was quite cold but fine once you got used to it, we didn't have a problem with sun beds as previous posts but we were there at the end of the season. From the hotel it was a short walk to the bus stop to get into either Sunny Beach in one direction or Nessebar in the other. Really loved Nessebar and went there a few times during our stay. Most nights we went into Sunny Beach and it was good to stroll around and people watch and then find a restaurant for dinner. However, it was a relief to get back to the hotel after what was a bit too touristy for us. I would certainly recommend this hotel, but maybe not if you have children as it would be a bit too quiet. If holidaying in Bulgaria again, I would certainly stay here, with the best of both worlds.

This quiet hotel is situated between Nessebar and the centre of Sunny beach. You can walk to the gorgeous beach which is just across the road behind the Delphin hotel, along a board walk. Nessebar and the Centre of Sunny beach are good for a nice steady walk or you can catch the bus for 1 lev or the mini train for 3 lev. This is our second year at the Aurelia, the breakfast that we had was lovely we chose the Muesli, apple, and wafer biscuit with coffe which was all fresh. The staff are lovely and very pleasant with quite good english and are always happy to help. The rooms are very clean and comfortable with A/C at no extra cost!!!! Great value for money and would definately go back to the Aurelia.

Hi, all! If you want to isolate yourself from all active life of Sunny Beach here you are.
As i arrived to the Sunny Beach resort nobody knew where this hotel is located, so taxi driver found that is near to Cacao Beach hotel and it took him a while to find this location.

I was kindly received but after all surprised in a bad way that they don't have an elevator so that carrying my suitcase to the 3rd floor was not easy. The room looked like back in 90's, very small TV and linen mixed up from different sets. the have a small fridge in the room so you may keep there some of yellow cheese, sausage, water, and chocolate and i'll tell you why.
As we decided to take only Bed and Breakfast we wanted to go every noon and evening to other restaurant, we expected the breakfast to be at least ok. Their breakfast was just disgusting ! you can see the pics, waiters don't speak neither english nor russian. everything was kept in their fridges for months, we could see fluff on the cheese and boiled eggs were cold as from the fridge- what means they weren't fresh ! if we asked tea, we had received half a cup water and strange/ tucked tea-bags. The quality of the food was so poor that is was upsetting us from the beginning of the day for 7 days long.
Thanks to the maid the rooms were cleaned once a two days, by the way - they don't give shampoo and soap so bring yours !!!
we got the rear side room in which we heard every morning at 7 how they clean the trash can and at night - karaoke.
Their A/C was good and silent.
The hotel is 15 bus minutes far from the old city Nessebr- great place to enjoy your vacation with good food, souvenirs and views !

Room Tip: this hotel is 10 minutes walk from the beach, the bus stop is very close and they have free shuttles...

Our family stayed here in July 2010 & July 2011 for two weeks each time.

Our party consisted of David and Allyson and our daughters Emma and Kirsty (Aged 13 and 12 at time of posting this review).

The Aurelia Hotel is a lovely, clean, spacious and well run hotel.

In July 2010 we stayed in one of the hotels family rooms, the room was modern and spacious, with a balcony, and the much needed air conditioner, the room had twin beds and a sofa bed, plenty storage for hanging your clothes up and Sat.TV my girls really enjoyed the Bulgarian music channels.

In July 2011 We stayed in one of the hotels apartments which gave us an extra bedroom, an extra sofa bed and a small kitchen area, the only let down with the apartment was that there was not the usual cups, glasses, utensils, kettle etc. that you would expect in an apartment

The bar is well stocked and prices are very good (cheaper than most places throughout the resort), the menu is varied, and all the dishes we tried were well presented and very tasty at a decent price. The hotel has a very good chef and even locals pop in for something to eat, which is always a good sign.

The pool is great and well maintained by the pool man who does the pool every night, and there were plenty sunbeds.

My daughter Emma celebrated her 13th Birthday during our holiday in July 2011. I mentioned it was Emmas Birthday to Mimi and her and the rest of the staff organised a beautiful surprise birthday party for her, we gave them a budget they arranged balloons, fireworks, cake, flowers and we had a lovely meal, it was excellent.

The staff are all so hard working, whether it is the receptionist’s, maids, waiters/bar staff they are all so pleasant and always have a smile for you. The service they give is really excellent, nothing is ever a problem for them.

Special thanks to Mimi, Megi and Nikolai for looking after us so well.

If you need a taxi use the hotel for it as the father and son who drive it are lovely people who will not rip you off.

We keep in touch with the staff through Facebook; they have become lifelong friends. If you’re looking for peaceful, quiet, relaxing hotel to go back to after the hustle and bustle of Sunny Beach The Aurelia Hotel is just for you.

I stayed here in June with a friend, after researching hotels on trip advisor- im glad I did because it lived up to the reviews. I found the package holiday on the Olympic Sale website. I think I found a bit of a bargain! the hotel was very clean and quiet and the staff were friendly. we had breakfast included, there were a few options but I usually had muesli which was nice. they also gave you an apple and cereal bar, which I usually ate later or took to the beach. for what we wanted the location was fine (we weren't there for the bars/clubs which would have been more of a trek). so if you are looking for a more chilled holiday the location was great because it is away from all the 18-30's. there aren't many restaurants located really close to the hotel but we found the local village of Nessebur perfect for this. many traditional, reasonably priced restaurants here and only two or three miles away, reachable by land train. the locals were all lovely, we ended up on a night out with a couple of them which was a good way to see the 'real' side of it. we kept bumping into locals who recognised and greeted us. I wouldn't recommend the hotel bikes though- not really roadworthy! other than that, perfect hotel. thank you!
