Warm family stay

Review of Hotel Motivi
5.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 28 Jul 2019via mobile
We were pleasantly surprised by hospitality of the owners, the beauty of the yard around the house. Location is little bit far from the beach, however in 2 min from the Bus stop. Hotel is neat and clean, has all necessary amenities. The hosts provided the beach umbrella for our comfort, and that was very kind. My parents and I really enjoyed our stay and definitely will come back.

Visited the hotel for five nights with husband and teenage daughter. All of us were really pleased with our stay, we felt at home and extra special at the same time.
It's a small hotel with spacious rooms, very clean, with comfortable beds and balconies overlooking a nice little green yard. Calm and quiet with very friendly and yet discrete hosts. One of the best features for us was the breakfast, totally worth the 5 euro/person, served in a delightful little garden, arranged on personal platters for each and every one, varying from day to day with nice little sweet and savoury surprises, good espresso too. We hugely enjoyed the whole experience and even sacrificed some beachtime for the sake of enjoying our breakfast :) The rooms were cleaned and towels changed daily. The air-conditioning worked well and all the facilities and supplies completely matched our expectations for a three-star hotel.
The hosts were very accomodating, late check-out could be arranged if needed, they also offer transport to the airport upon arrangement. There are convenient bus stops less than 50m away from the hotel with regular connections to Varna ( 12-15min to the city so perfect acommodation for a business trip as well) as well as to the Sunny Day/Kabakum/Golden Sands beaches in the other direction. Our family has now decided that Motivi is our place to stay whenever we are back by the northern Black Sea coast again!

Very nice family hotel. I recently went to Bulgaria on a holiday and stayed in the hotel for 8 nights with my partner, we couldn't want more - the hotel was nice and clean, it had everything we needed, the owners were always very polite and helpful. Will definitely stay again.

The hotel is family-run, with a nice atmosphere. The owners were very helpful and went out of their way to assist us with our travel arrangements. They spoke excellent English, and were entertaining and informative in their discussions about the country both now and historically. Breakfast was good - we had it outside in the well-kept garden.

There's a beach about ten minutes' walk away - the one called "Small Beach" is much cheaper for sun lounger rental than the one near to the expensive hotels more centrally-located. On that note, Motivi Hotel isn't in the centre of the resort, but I don't think that's too much of a problem for most people willing to walk a bit. The path near to the hotel isn't really lit at all, but it never felt dangerous.

Pretty much next door to the hotel is a small restaurant that isn't open particularly late, but serves good food at reasonable prices.

There's a bus stop the other side of the underpass near to the hotel, and frequent buses go by to take you into Varna (which is a lot more interesting than ss. Constantine & Helena).

The bus can get busy, and you should make sure that your valuables are kept out-of-sight and close to you during the journey - some theft could occur if you were distracted, as with many tourist places.

It's worth noting that in the Constantine & Helena resort, the most entertaining part is near to the monastery - it's signposted from most areas. There are lots of places to eat around there, and nightly shows featuring traditional singing and dancing.

Overall, it was a very good value stay, and I would recommend it to people who don't mind not being bang in the centre of things, or actively want to avoid the hustle and bustle in the centre.
