“The staff were a little lost”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 12 August 2013 via mobile

There were multiple staff placing cutlery on tables and standing around chatting. Meanwhile there was a lineup of people waiting to be seated. It took several minutes for anyone to even speak to us. Overall the food was good but the buffet brunch was unorganized. Staff were unable to keep up with replacing condiments and other dishes.

“Great Views From Every Table”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 9 August 2013

The menu has excellent choices - food is more on the upscale side of things. They offer seniors' portions but you have to ask. Desserts are fabulous and the coffee here is excellent - they can do espresso-based drinks here. Service is very slow - the only downside to this nice restaurant.

“Big disappointment”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 4 August 2013

We ate here two years ago and found the food good although the service was terribly slow.
This time, the service was average but the food was disappointing.Hard to believe but my 16 dollar hambuger was a frozen patty - not made from fresh ground beef. My wife's Salmon salad was without taste and the dressing seemed right out of the Kraft bottle.
On the plus side the bannock bread was amazing. Our server was a pleasant, older woman who was powerless and blameless. This restaurant aspires to be fine dining but falls short - somewhere between a Whitespot and a Wendy's.

“Poor food”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 August 2013

The food was average and that was as good as it got. Raw bison steak when medium was ordered. It came cold. Rib eye that was 3/16 of an inch thick, overdone and cold. Chicken masala that was all rice and canned sauce. I think there was chicken in it. And finally 2 garlic tiger prawn dinners no bigger that those you find on a cocktail ring. Tepid, bland and piles of soggy rice. At $30 a plate, one would expect fine dining. As it turned out the next meal at White Spot was head and shoulders above Quaaout $200 cheaper, and much better service.

“Need to be prepared more!”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 18 July 2013

Ate dinner here on a Friday night when the hotel was full. Many items were not available which is unfortunate that the kitchen did not prepare for a busy weekend. The food we did get was good and worth the money (I had the chicken tika masala).
