I arrived just after crossing the border right before midnight, luckily they had a vacancy. Room was spartan in the best sense of the term, cozy and very very clean. I got in to my room, took a shower, (no bathtub in my room) and got in the bed and turned on the tv, just happy to be back in Canada. Slept like a baby. Beautiful country around here, next time I am in the Kootenays I will be staying herr.

Going over the Bonanza (Blueberry Paulson) pass we took a break at the summit (1535 m). When we tried to start our RV (a converted city bus called "The Bus") nothing......nothing started. Uh oh, dry-camping at 5000 feet was not in our bucket of dreams. She did start after a bit of persuasion and we limped into Grand Forks in hopes of finding a mechanic the next day. The owner, Lawrence, of the Victorian Motel and RV Park, smiled and quietly announced his trade as a heavy duty mechanic. The next day, true to his word, he and my husband, Billy, performed miracles. Voila, she starts !
A big thanks to the hospitality and kindness of the Victorian Motel and RV Park. We will always stop and stay. Not only friendly are these people but quickly reach out to help when it's needed. A sweet find, quiet, by the river and very close to the famous borscht town.

Karen and Larwence are simply the best.We arrived on our bike &wanted to go to town for some dinner.Only cab in town was not available so Larwence drove us and and picked us up. Room just sparkled and when we ran out of propane he let us use theirs. Gave us a 5% discount cause we came on our bike, We just couldn't believe they would do that for us. We chose their motel because of the reviews I saw on this site. We were sitting outside talking with a local and there before us a deer came walking right by. Wonderfulplace. Please give it a try

When we rolled up to this motel and RV park on our motorcycle, we had no idea how much character it had! We were dressed in our bike gear, leathers, skulls, and do-rags. We immediately felt welcomed! We received a discount for being on a motorcycle, which really surprised us. The owners asked to take our picture with the bike, then we headed to our room. The second we opened our door, we knew we were in heaven! Most rooms have an air conditioner, but we had CENTRAL air conditioning! WOW! We had been in the sun and wind all day, so we were thrilled to find this place. Feeling the rush of that cold air when we opened our motel room door for the first moment was the BEST feeling in the world!

When we entered our room we began to discover how much character this wonderful little place had. Our room was decorated just like home. We discovered NO 2 rooms are the same! They are all uniquely painted, decorated, and furnished.

The bed was comfortable and our room was extremely clean! After a little rest, we decided to go for a walk around the property and to our amazement we found a beautiful river right over the little hill behind the RV park area. The river is shallow but gets deeper towards the center, and the water is so clear. We swam for a couple of hours.

Our room didn't have a phone or a clock. We didn't feel like we had to keep track of the time. We were able to truly relax and not worry about checking out right at 11:00. We took our time packing our bike and never felt any pressure from the staff.

We enjoyed this place so much, we asked the owners if we could stay another night. Luckily for us, they were able to shift another reservation around and keep us in our room.

When we woke up the next morning and looked out the window, every room had a vehicle parked outside it. The owners are very friendly. They have freshly brewed coffee for sale in the office, and they sell ice and also lend out an ice bucket filled with ice if you need it.

We highly recommend this motel and RV park to everyone! We'll be back!!!!!

Stayed at the Victorian RV park while attending sporting event in Grand Forks. The site had everything we needed/wanted (power, water, cable, wireless internet, sani-station onsite) for only $22/nt, which is unheard of around Christina Lake (only 15 min away). It is just off the highway but behind the motel so it was very quiet and beside the river. The hosts are a lovely couple and they are so helpful and knowledgeable. The bathroom for the RV sites is attached to the motel, it is very clean, has a shower and laundry facilities. The RV park and motel are pet friendly (for responsible owners, of course). We would absolutely stay there the next time we are in the area. The only downpoint was that the access point to the river was mostly blocked by one of the extended stay RVs that had spread out beyond their site.
