“very nice resort, private setting, beautiful view, peaceful and relaxing”
Reviewed 10 August 2012

Rented a small Cabin, Pricey but worth it. Nicely furnished and equipped, (robes and all), everything was comfortable and clean.
Cabins require a little walking up stairs and paths etc.... uphill from parking.... but worth every step.
The pools are great and we found the cold plunge very "cool". The views are spectacular and the staff helpful and accomodating.
If you think we liked the resort.... we did.... but we bow to the culinary cuisine we experienced the the kingfisher restaurant.
Thanks for everything, see you again!

Room Tip: some cabins require more walking but the staff will advise, the dining room rocks!

Had a great stay at Halcyon hot springs. Very cheap, great resturant, and excellent spa. We had been hiking for 4 days and this was a great way to finish. We stayed in a cabin and spent all the time in the pool. There is not a lot to do, it is very much meant to relax.

Our family recently spent one night in a beautiful Halcyon's chalet - very well appointed. Everything we needed and more. Would be great for a larger group as it was more space than we needed for 2 adults and 2 little ones. Hot spring facilities were clean and well cared for. For anyone with young kids, the cool pool is a huge plus over just hot pools.

Best part was the water! Not sure what we loved more - the early morning lake-swim or the hot springs that made our girls very sleepy :) We will plan to visit again when in the area. Would highly recommend to families with young children or motorcyclists in need of some relaxation.

We were lucky enough to spend two nights here on our week long trip this summer through BC. It is tucked away from the main highway (easy access) and you feel isolated from noise and busy roads. If you are looking for a luxurious resort experience I would highly recommend the village chalets which are so beautiful and comfortable (ran into friends who were in one of the smaller cottages and those units also looked very comfortable and well maintained, cozy bath robes no matter which unit you rent!) . There were two different groups in the downstairs unit each night and we never heard anything from below so the sound proofing must be great. Our unit was so peaceful and quiet. We spent many hours at the pools which are maintained very well, clean change rooms, and a relaxing atmosphere (especially at night when the little lights are on and the stars are out). The large regular pool on the lower deck was also nice to have on the hot days, to go between the cool and hot pools. The cold plunge is also fantastic. The way the resort is set up all accommodations are close to the lodge and pools but still retain a sense of privacy. The restaurant was also top notch, the food was great every time. The staff was helpful and check in and check out was a breeze. Loved the keyless entry into the chalet which meant we didn't have to bring anything with us to the pools, just put on our suits, grabbed towels and off we went. The grounds were beautiful to walk around, visited the little chapel and walked along the lake front paths (there is also a dock you can swim off of and boats and kayaks to rent). We loved everything about this resort and can't wait to visit again and bring friends and family with us!

We have stayed at Halcyon Hot Springs on a number of occasions. We have stayed in most of their accommodation facilities and have thouroughly enjoyed them all. The staff have always been extremely helpful and professional. We have visited 5 other hotsprings throughout the province of BC and hands down Halcyon is the most relaxing and has the most amazing water.
We have always dined there when we stay and have enjoyed their menu. While we have been at most times of the year, you can't beat sitting in the pools when it's -20 and the snow is falling!

The condo units were very clean and modern, however, all the views of the lake are blocked by or only seen through the trees. The staff at front reception at all times were very welcoming and responsive to questions. I wish the same could be said for the restaurant. The service was slow and the food was bland. This was not a good value for the price that was paid.

Thank you for your review. We're glad you appreciated the accommodations, and we are sorry for the trees. The trees help a lot with keeping the accommodations cooler, and protecting from harsh winds. I will pass your comments onto the restaurant, and hope that your next visit to Halcyon is exceptional. Hope to see you again soon. Sincerely, Kristin Sokoloski

Was there late June. Nice and quiet relaxing place to get away from the city. Great view up upper arrow lake and the sound of running water from the stream that runs into the lake. Lots of different trails that are good to hike and great views looking into the mountains. Fishing was great there. Caught lots of trout and kokanees. Great way to end the day was just to go in and relax at their hot springs. There was 3 different tempatures to choose from. Great mineral hot springs to rejuvenate yourself. Bring your swimming suits and they have bath robes that you can wear around. You can relax and soak up some sun as they have chairs for you to lay down on. Go as many times you want during your stay there.

Rooms were good and clean. There was no A/C but you really dont need it when it cools right down at night time since your deep into the mountains and right next to the lake. They dont give you a key for the room but they give you a code to unlock the door. Staff was very friendly and have the same staff members when i was there 2 years ago. If you like the spa's. The massage was only ok. Nothing to rave about or go back to. If you try to get a couples massage you wont be able to. They only have one room and only one massage table.

Theres only 1 place for you to eat there. Dinner was average but the hamburgers were to die for. Prices of food and alcohol was reasonable. Also you can bring your own food to bbq or cook in your lounge if your on a budget or just wanting a home cooked meal. There is a little fridge with freezer that you can keep your food and drinks cold there. Not alot of mosquitoes there but tones of huge black slugs ealry mornings and late nights. Highly recommended for a get away for couples or a family with children.

There are animal friendly as well. From what i remember i think they charged additional $20 a night for our dog. They must be on leash though (remember to bring a bell or something that make noises since theres lots of bears around). When your out there and relaxing, look for the humming bird that flies around. Hope you enjoy your stay here as much as i did.
