We stayed at Sandy Beach Lodge for one week, August 5-12, 2007. The view of the lake was spectacular and there was an abundance of things to do for the kids. There is a great pool, a hot tub, canooeing, row boating, ping pong, tennis, playground, basketball, and numerous other things right on the grounds. We stayed in a cabin which was very nice but got extremely hot during the hot afternoon. It did cool off during the evening so it was tolerable to sleep. There were six of us at the cabin at some points so 1 bathroom became a bit of an issue. The staff at the resort were all very helpful and pleasant. There was an awesome 2 hour break for the parents when we were able to send our child to a craft camp for 2 hours during the weekdays to do crafts, story time, and other activities. This cost $12.00 per day and was well worth it. We particularly enjoyed the fact that there were so many activities to do right on the property. One didn't have to travel far to find something to do. The Naramata area is also full of many things to do. Wine tours are available through the many wineries in the area. The Okanagan Lake is a beautiful area. There are many interesting birds to see, and little animals around the area. It is a very laid back, relaxing atmosphere.
