“Always good for brunch”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 February 2012

We go to Sirens for Sunday brunch at least once a month. They breakfast is always consistently good. I have tried all the Eggs Bennys and most of them are pretty good. (too much curry spice or cumin in the crabcake Benny for my tastes.) I prefer them soft and they have cooked them right almost every time. They will cook them how you want. Everything else on the menu looks good for breakfast and lunch too. I know everyone in our party always likes what they have ordered. I have not been there for dinner for a while. Went there a few times back when they first opened. I did enjoy the steak that I had a few times, but it was hit or miss, however for the price it just is not that spectacular. (steak mostly all fat once.) I can understand the prices they may charge for the view in the Summer. It would be nice to have a locals special in the off season so we could afford to go more often for dinner. When you have to pay almost $30 for a steak after tip and tax it better be pretty good or you might as well cook one at home. Have to give it another try for dinner. To end on a good note, They are still better than most of the places in Sechelt and the service has always been good. Note on ratings. Gave it one 3 on food, value and atmosphere because...I would rate food and value for breakfast 4 stars. Atmoshphere 3 because it is dated inside, but view makes up for it.

“Worth the visit.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 8 September 2011

Visited here September 7, 2011, on a recommendation and was not disappointed.
While the decor of the inside of the restaurant is tired and dated, the food and the service makes up for what it lacks in interior design.

My husband had the special of Beef Tenderloin and was very impressed. It was cooked to order, very flavorful and more importantly was served hot, even the sides were piping hot, fresh and not overcooked.

I had the cedar planked salmon and again everything was delicious, hot and very enjoyable, absolutely nothing to criticize.

We both shared their house special dessert which was a chocolate explosion cheese cake. This consisted of a chocolate cake base topped with a chocolate mousse that had chunks of New York cheesecake mixed throughout and topped with chocolate sauce and nuts. Absolutely delicious, it was not overly sweet but one serving between two was quite sufficient especially after such a delicious meal. My only caveat was that the hot tea that is served is the very flavorless Red Rose, probably the worst tea on the market next to Lipton. The coffee according to my husband was excellent in flavor and he had a second cup to make sure it was as good as the first.

This restaurant has been open about one and half years and is run by the owner/chef who is quite young, but very obviously knows his stuff. Keep up the good work, we will be back.

“Beautiful Sun Set View on Sirens Deck”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 28 April 2011

Tourist's from Vancouver, B.C. Attended Saturday 23rd. Sechelt,B.C. Our Davis Bay B&B-(which is a fabulous!) lady recommended this fine food restaurant as quality and we could sit out side in the gorgeous sun and watch the sun set go down. Location is just across the SunShine Coast Hwy in the middle of Davis Bay Ocean. The deck is out side with umbrella's for shade, far enough from traffic noise. You have a wide open ocean passage to see whales, sea lions, eagles, ships ect. The steaks with prawns for my wife was to perfection with a very nice salad. I had the fresh salad, bread, duck and vegetables. Waitress made sure all was to our satisfaction but I would suggest if one is eating out side to have the tables prepared with cutlery. Restaurant is liquor licence and lots of room between tables. The inside eating area has large glass windows and view of the ocean. This restaurant is also connected to a motel and is in the central area with easy access to Sechelt and other stores. The side walk on the ocean side is paved, with nice flowers and a long pier to catch crabs, fish ,sit and smell the ocean breeze and also enjoy the sun set , all near to the Sirens. Walking distance of other B&B's and a Fish and Chip Restaurant told excellant for quality.
