We enjoyed a drink and the grilled Ceasar Salad for lunch. Patio was modern and view of the harbour was lovely.

Beautiful restaurant, decent food, good pricing, good menu. Unfortunately horrible service. It was hard to enjoy this pub because the terrible service took away from all the positives. Went two times within 4 days ( only pub open late enough) and each time the service was very slow. The servers were also straight up rude. Such a shame for such a lovely location. Won't be going back. Won't ever recommend.

We arrived at 6.10pm having seen the menu on line. As a family of 5 - 2 adults and 3 teens - we like somewhere offering a good variety of dishes at reasonable prices and this seemed to fit the bill. BUT, we went in through the main pub door - "sorry you cant eat here you have to eat in the restaurant" fair enough, its a pub there are rules. We then found our own way through to the restaurant. "sorry you cant eat this side of the bar you have to go round the other side". So we did still hopeful. The family area consists of a couple of tables outside and the same inside seating no more than 30. Did we book? well no. Then sorry we are full there is a party of 5 and one of 11 arriving in 20 mins. No "sorry about that" or "would you like to book for tomorrow". All this of course made worse by the fact that the place was practically empty. Hopefully someone will get wise to the fact that families would quite like to eat here. So, unless you are an adult couple or group, forget it. you aren't welcome. Never again thank you.

We spent four days in the area in July and had a difficult time find a restaurant that was reasonably priced, open later than 7 or 8 pm, and had a decent menu. Here where the sun sets at 10 pm and it's the peak travel season you would think businesses would stay open later but we had a difficult time finding a decent restaurant. The first time we ate here because the resort we were at recommended it as a casual place for a late Sunday dinner. The second time we couldn't find anything reasonable open in the area. Both times we sat on the back deck. We didn't have any issues with people smoking so maybe they took care of that. The view of the harbor and mountains is beautiful. We had the fish and chips, the beef dip, the pizza and the avocado caesar salad. All was delish and reasonably priced!!! The service was just a bit slow but they were busy both times. It's clearly a local favorite, i.e. you might have some rowdy birthday partiers, but it's a pub and comes with the territory.

We really weren't expecting much when we walked in. The local crowd looked to be mostly professionals or at least had been. The menu looked like anything else we seen in our travels, and well, I always like to try the local fish and chips. I was not disappointed. What would usually be barely enough for one, could have fed 3 or four. Two full cod fillets, and very tasty. We tried quite a few other restaurants in our 4 day stay, and came back here again just because it was a worth a second trip.
