The van ride from the airport didn't take long. The rooms were comfortable. The pub served large portions, and the service was fast and friendly.

We (2+2) stayed here after our "confirmed and pre-paid" booking was turned away by Hudson Bay Mountain Chalets, and the lovely people of this hotel welcomed us and found us two great rooms.

This hotel is on the outskirts of Smithers but is close enough to the pretty downtown shopping street to walk. Another bonus is the close-by Safeway supermarket with it's Starbucks franchise.

There is a bottle shop attached to the hotel which is also very convenient and the hotel's bar is staffed by friendly folk who helped us pass a sociable hour whilst taling about the town, the locals and prices in BC.....

Dinner in the hotel restaurant was of good quality, although the portions were way too big for my liking - and the chef made a special effort with my youngest's dessert by adding a sugar decoration to her ice-cream - which we all appreciated.

Smithers is a lovely city and a great place to stay, the locals are very friendly and typified by the staff of this well run, clean and safe hotel.

To me, no matter where you stay and what price you pay, nothing makes a hotel stay more enjoyable than the staff being so obviously happy with their work - and that is evident here.

Helpful front desk staff, comfortable rooms, convenient location and a surprisingly good restaurant. Not a thing to complain about, and at -37 outside I was happy to be inside!

Very nice rooms, spacious bathrooms, comfy beds, nice decor - a decent restaurant attached. Front desk staff was courteous, friendly, and offered a corporate discount without me having to ask for one. Lots of parking. A good distance from the downtown core, but has about everything you need. Would return here, and I've stayed at a few places in Smithers
