Most people in our group had steak, (which were perfect), but those who had fish or chicken were completely satisfied. The service was very attentive without be intrusive. When I return to Sun Peaks I'll definitely go back here.

As with the other reviewers the steak was cooked well but that was it.
We arrived Sunday night at approximately 6:30 without a reservation and after a discussion between the servers we were put off to the side near the bar. Cozy it was not.
After looking over the wine list, we decided on an overpriced cheap bottle of Australian. As it seems with most restaurants here a very limited wine selection consisting of BC and Aussie wine and a 300% mark-up on a poor Argentinian Malbec for diversity. (note purchase any alcohol before arriving as it's what you'll experience in the liquor store here as well).
We both ordered ceasar salads, one side of bread with rib-eyes and potato loaded. When we looked at the table setting we noticed a dinner fork and knife with a dessert fork and a poor paper napkin lower than the quality of McDonalds.
The ceasar salad was bland with huge croutons difficult to eat and the bread was in a plastic french fry container with deli paper. No bread plates. We actually received our appetizers before the other table which had been obviously waiting for some time as we saw/heard the guest asking about theirs.
Then we waited. Our table was not cleared, nor wine poured, nor water topped but the servers were all chatting around the bar and behind the coffee station, something you wouldn't notice from the main dinning area. When our plates were cleared and meals arrived, we were left with the steak knife and dessert fork, poor table management. We did ask for additional cutlery where we were brought only one fork not 2.
I was happy with my plate but my partner was not. He felt the steak was more charred than cooked albeit to the requested wellness. The potato was loaded with sour cream but that was about it.
All said and done the meal came to $150 with one dessert and 2 coffee drinks. Add on a 12% tip which was more than the server really deserved (I believe she wasn't trained) the greatest insult was the humph she gave when we paid, not even a thank you.
Definitely not the quality/value received for the price paid.

I guess if you are staying in a place without a kitchen while in Sun Peaks you are stuck with the restaurants within the village proper. We tried several establishments and they were all very much the same.

Indifferent service, average fare, above average prices. Dining out was not the experience we have had at other ski hills. It really does seem as though they are not willing to put in any effort. A shame really, as the village itself is well laid out and the skiing was great.

This is a cozy place with reliable service and good simple food. We ordered a tenderloin and a sirloin. My tenderloin medium rare was perfectly cooked with sides of pumpkin and baked potato My patners medium sirloin was a little dry: being grain fed beef its best to go for a rarer steak. The orange chocolate cheescake was yummy though gooey and one slice was plenty to share. Service was good and the waitress was very well versed in the menu and produce.

Had a good meal, but the service was terribly slow. We sat early at 6.15pm and the restaurant was packed with young families. We only ordered a main course but after an hour of waiting we we're given a free glass of house wine each for the long wait and a apology from the waitress. When our meals did arrive both steaks were cooked perfectly and we're very tasty. A tip to future diners... Don't go to early in the evening.
