“Fresh Local Produce, good quality of food.”
Reviewed 19 June 2014

This place was recommended by our uncle who retired in Comox, in his mind, this is the only place that has good food. It was not disappointed. The menu was internationally inspired, that is why an Indonesian dish of Nasi Goreng is in the menu. It advertised itself as locally provisioned. I had a 'Steamer' -- steam mussels and clams, it was cooked well, just right, not overcooked. Ahi Tuna as main course and Creme Brûlée as dessert. My Ahi tuna is cooked well, pan seared on the outside, still raw in the middle, seasoned well. The Creme Brûlée was not too sweet with eye pleasing plating. My uncle's prawns looks great and red snapper was good, and the cheese cake looks great too.

If I live in the island, I will definitely go back. Price wise is reasonable. If you are in the area and want some solid dinning experience, go for this one.

“Wonderful Experience”
Reviewed 18 June 2014

Lovely little bistro with outdoor patio. Service was so friendly and accomodating. The food was excellent. We all started with the fresh Cortes Island mussels - they were outstanding, cooked to perfection and just the right amount. Had the special seared Ahi Tuna which again was prepared perfectly with a wonderful rissoto, very flavourful. The seafood liguini which the others ordered, was described as 'the best they had every had'! Great art surround the walls - just a perfect evening all around. Will most definitely go back next time in Comox.

“Best ever calamari!”
Reviewed 17 June 2014

We chanced upon this bistro when we were holidaying in Comox. It was a Sunday evening, dinnertime, and we were walking around town, so we thought, why not try this place? Its location is appealing, in a revamped older house near the marina. There is outdoor seating separated from indoors by retro garage doors. The sun was setting when we arrived and we sat outside in the beautiful light on the southwest facing patio. Subtle lighting, a fireplace, and harmonious colours give great appeal to the indoor dining area. And, there was live music - a solo guitarist played mellow music the whole time we were there.
As for the food, the menu has many interesting choices that looked delicious. We watched the plates arriving at other tables, and thought they looked fantastic, but sadly we just weren't hungry enough for a full meal. We decided on caesar salad and calamari, and were rewarded with fresh chilled romaine in a light tasty dressing, and calamari that was the best we have ever had. Our server told us that "lots of locals come just for the calamari, it is our most popular dish". With a side of fresh crusty bread, and a litre of wine, this was all we needed to make a memorable meal. The only reason I didn't rate it as excellent is that we didn't have a full meal.

“Outstanding”

I have eaten here every time (20) I visit Comox. This has to be one of the best restaurants in BC. Both location and food quality. Outdoor seating on a summer night is to die for.
