This small hotel is next to the fish plant on the waterfront of the town. It is relatively easy to find for visitors to the community.
We found the rooms clean, nicely appointed and spacious. The beds were okay, but the rocking chairs in the room were a nice touch. Bathrooms were basic but functional.
The hotel's amenities include wifi and a restaurant on site. Breakfast is provided with some room rates and includes toast, cereal, juice and coffee.
The hotel was very hot (the heat was going full blast) and the storm windows were still on, so opening the windows and getting a decent breeze (if there had been one) was almost impossible. The air conditioning was not functional so we were given fans. The third floor rooms were extremely hot and several of our party found it difficult to sleep.
We had one difficulty on check out; the hotel staff didn't pass the message from one person to another that one person in our party had cancelled and we were charged for the no show, but this was eventually dealt with. The price per room is perhaps higher than you might find on average for little hotels in the province but it is nice enough to justify the cost.
