we found that the room's where not the best thy could have been a lot cleaner the staff where the most rude. The service was very slow and was take it or leave it.As supposed to be one of the best hotels in town I can't think what the service would be like in the other hotels in town

If you ask for a harbour-view room, you'll never want to leave it. It takes in the ocean, fishing boats, a wooden boardwalk, and the sun sparkling on the water, if the sun's out, that is.

The room is spacious, furnished in Newfoundland outport furniture, fresh and lean. The beds are comfy and the bathroom is clean. Breakfast is a modest continental one served in Skipper's restaurant downstairs.

Room Tip: Ask for harbour view.

A beautiful Spot in my hometown of Bonavista!!! Love it!
The Restaurant is beautiful. The old style decor is stunning. I didn't stay in the rooms as I am from Bonavista but I could only imagine the decor to match the rest of the building.

We spent 3 nights at this nice old inn right on the Bonavista harbourfront. The rooms were nice and big, clean and with comfortable beds. Staff were friendly and helpful and there is a good restaurant on the premises.

There is lots to do and see in the area, three days went by very quickly.

Room Tip: Try to get a room facing the harbour, the view will be superb and there will be no road noise.

This small hotel is next to the fish plant on the waterfront of the town. It is relatively easy to find for visitors to the community.

We found the rooms clean, nicely appointed and spacious. The beds were okay, but the rocking chairs in the room were a nice touch. Bathrooms were basic but functional.

The hotel's amenities include wifi and a restaurant on site. Breakfast is provided with some room rates and includes toast, cereal, juice and coffee.

The hotel was very hot (the heat was going full blast) and the storm windows were still on, so opening the windows and getting a decent breeze (if there had been one) was almost impossible. The air conditioning was not functional so we were given fans. The third floor rooms were extremely hot and several of our party found it difficult to sleep.

We had one difficulty on check out; the hotel staff didn't pass the message from one person to another that one person in our party had cancelled and we were charged for the no show, but this was eventually dealt with. The price per room is perhaps higher than you might find on average for little hotels in the province but it is nice enough to justify the cost.

Room Tip: Face the water.

We stayed here for 3 days during the Make and Break Festival, and rooms were all taken, its good there was one room left since the reservation was cancelled. It was a perfect place to stay, since we're too tired of driving from Trinity and we got a room overlooking the ocean with full moon during our stay. It was such a great delight while watching the full moon from the wide window with fresh air humming our face. The lights flashing from the harbour was a plus, perfect view to behold. The restaurant downstairs served yummy and delicious seafoods like mussels, fresh fish, etc., really fresh.
The staff were very cooperative and polite. The room was decorated with authentic furniture used during the high season of the fishing era. I like the air of cleanliness around the whole room and the smell of clean sheets, its like going back to the heyday of the historical place that is Bonavista. You get what you paid for! Perfect...

The hotel was fully booked the night I wanted to stay here , but I returned for breakfast the next morning, and stayed 3 hours...setting up my computer, using their WiFi, and engaging in conversation with guests, and the friendly wait staff.
They encouraged me to stay the night..... I could not.....but I wanted to.
This hotel has a wonderful waterfront location, fine small pub, and the ambience of a smaller, "period" inn. A new patio/deck is being constructed right beside the water's edge..a perfect place to dine/drink when weather permits.
I will return one day, and stay overnight.
