Found this inn online and decided to book a stay for two nights because there was an iceberg festival in St. Andrews and I was worried about a place to stay. What a spot and something we will always remember. Sophie and Jim were such warm and friendly people with many stories about the tough life of being a Newfoundlander. Sophie made incredible breakfasts and dinners - hope a cookbook is forthcoming - the journal I found in the library about early life there (got to go back and finish it) and the view of the cape and icebergs (a little too much ice for our stay because the tour boats could not get out of the harbor) - they all contributed to one of the most memorable stays in an inn we have ever had. When we left, I felt like we were leaving family. Really hope it will be around for many years and cannot wait to get back there. Sooner rather than later and maybe next time more in the spring so we can enjoy the hiking and green.
