We stayed two nights in this charming B&B. Ed and Margaret are wonderful, entertaining hosts and we enjoyed our time spent talking to them ..Evenings with Ed were lots of fun. Margaret made wonderful breakfasts and was so kind to us while we were there..offering muffins to take on the road, etc... extremely quiet area
It was like staying with family, They were both so knowledgable about Newfoundland and eager to share their experiences . We would definitely stay there again. Thank you Ed and Margaret!!

We stayed for 3 nights to get the most out of the Trinity Area. B&B accommodation is quite basic, but the hosts make the stay entirely worthwhile. Real Newfoundlanders with a great sense if humour. Enjoyed the comraderie with other guests. Great value and only 5 km to Trinity.

Ed and Margaret were wonderful hosts. We absolutely loved their warm hospitality and the advice the gave about the area. To me, this is what staying at a B&B is all about, interacting with the hosts and the other guests. We were there for two nights and our favourite time was evenings spent with Ed who was so entertaining. The floors in the rooms might slope a bit but it completely didn't matter. The food was enjoyable and varied and the people were fantastic. Great stay.

I and my husband stayed at the Rolling Hills in late spring 2013, I am writing this review almost a year later, still having great memories of the trip and our stay, and hoping to come back one day. As many reviewers already wrote Ed and Margaret were absolutely amazing hosts, creating a very authentic feeling of becoming part of the town and share local experiences. And I just finished reading "The Shipping News" - a book set in Newfoundland, recommended by Ed :) Our trip would not be as memorable and would not have such a lasting effect if it would not be for how great Ed and Margaret are.

Both my wife and I spent a couple of nights at the Rolling Hills B&B. We agree with what most of the reviewers have said. Margaret and Ed are First Class hosts, they made us feel totally at home. Both of them really went out of their way to please us. It was all about our comfort. The conversation was great, and yes, I can assure you Ed is a great story teller. The rooms were nice, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was also nice and suited to our needs. In short it was a very enjoyable experience. Highly recommended.

Your stay will be a good experience in Newfoundland comfort and care. Treat yourself.
Your hosts can advise on the history and current activities of this historic area of the province.
The hit movie Random Passage and other thrillers were filmed in a nearby location. The historic town of Trinity and Bonavista are just a easy drive from your base in Dunfield.

As all the other reviews state - these people (Ed & Margaret) are beautiful people. Their home is so inviting, welcoming - and charming. Food was excellent & house very clean! But back to the people - Ed & Margaret - they are the hosts of all hosts. Which included a 'guest host' - Margaret's cousin - what a dear! (And her 'helper' - what a great photographer!) She took care of us our 2nd night/day @ The Rolling Hills. We hope to return to Dunfield & if we do - we will DEFINITELY stay @ The Rolling Hills...and we WILL recommend it to friends! This place (and people) reminds us of our home town of Glengarry (which by looking at the guest book - other Glengarrians have also visited - no names mentioned - but we'll see you soon & discuss this great place!) This place is also in a great location - we went to see Harry Hibs Returns at The Rising Tide Theatre - close by. Finally - we have to say we aren't 'B&B' people......we are 'hotel people' - and truthfully this was our first B&B - and we are EXTREMLY happy we chose such a place as The Rolling Hills!!! Ed & Margaret (and Margaret's cousin) - made this a very delightful experience!!!! Next time - we hope to get more time with Ed & Margaret - to perhaps sample some of Ed's 'famous' wine :) And.....Glen's wants another dance with Margaret - NOT the ugly stick :)
