“Phone and more!”
Reviewed 24 June 2014

Who knew that A.G. Bell was so industrious. The telephone was just one of many inventions this man invented. I was particularly impressed with the hydrofoil & hovercraft. Value for the money at this place, and you will learn quite a bit too!

“Unexpectedly wonderful museum about the great man”
Reviewed 21 June 2014

Like most people. We only knew of Bell's telephone fame, but were stunned by the extent of his scientific inventions and work with the deaf. He was a DaVinci in many ways, and this. Useful is nicely laid out to see his work in airplanes , hydrofoils, farming, speech recognition and of course telephones. Plan on. 2 hours, though it could be done little ore quickly if you didn't
Read everything. Hint: skip the "movie" a 15 min documentary that both appears 25 year old and made by a ten year old. Other than that, this was a great way to spend part of an afternoon.

“History buffs”
Reviewed 17 June 2014

This museum had the "Silver Dart" plane that was built by Bell. It also had the remains of his original hydrofoil boat. There were a couple of informative films that explained his various inventions. And there were many large photographs of Bell with his work. Nice play area for children as well.

“A Very Educational Museum”
Reviewed 17 June 2014

This fantastic and educational museum is on a very large property overlooking the gorgeous lakes. It is full of artifacts, memorabilia, original drawings and documents from Bell's actual and phenomenal work in Baddeck.

You realize as soon as you walk in that he did so much more than just invent the telephone. The history of his kite-flying experiments was amusing but very informative. His legendary work for the deaf is exemplified here, and his effusive personality is depicted in the family photos and videos.

The surrounding lakes are spectacular, and the grounds are very well maintained. The staff is helpful and attentive. The entire museum is very fitting for a man of his stature.

Definitely worth a visit. You simply come out of the museum with a sense of " WOW ".

“Telephone, Aviation, and more”
Reviewed 16 June 2014

It was bigger than I expected, and well worth the visit. The grounds are beautiful with great views of the lakes. Inside, there are many exhibits of Bell's different inventions and tools, including a full size model of the Silver Dart airplane. The are a couple of film rooms, and some new exhibits. The entry fee is only $7, which is nothing considering it goes to support something worthwhile. We spent an hour here; it could be done in 30mins, or you could spend up to 2 hours. They also have a kids zone. I would recommend this visit to anyone!
