We stayed two nights at this resort. We were in one of the old buildings on the lakeside of the property. Parking was adjacent to the unit. The room was small and clean but not the smallest room we've ever had. We used this as a base to explore Cape Bretton Island. We were on a B&B package and had our choice of the resort's breakfast menu. Breakfast was very good and the coffee was fairly strong. Newer buildings had larger rooms at higher prices. After each day of touring, we had dinner at their lakeside restaurant. The food was fine. The only complaint I had was that I had to order a double when I wanted a drink. Throughout the Maritimes, it seems that they use 2 ounce pour for drinks and don't free pour. In our travels throughout the US and Canada, we've not encountered this. The upside of this is that their drink prices reflect the two ounce pour. Between 3 and 5 p.m., they serve mussels and beer lakeside. You can order more than beer. Service for breakfast and dinner was professional but relaxed. There seemed to be a good number of families staying here and most were from the Maritime Provinces.
